It's great that your back to writing your story, Ricky. ;)
Spencer is obviously out in the woods looking for his mother
Deanna, who died from that walker bite and turned. Not your
fault but it was stupid that walker Deanna was later found
stumbling about in the woods; realistically she would've been
torn apart by the walkers who broke into the house.
I like that Carl was calling out for his mother Lori. I'm
certain he still carries guilt over how he treated her before
she died in the prison. :'(

Thanks! I'm going to try to update more regularly now.

"Michonne," Carl smiled as he glanced up and saw her standing
beside the bed.
"How do you feel?" Michonne asked him as she gently brushed her
hand across his forehead.
"Hungry," Carl joked. "I think I could eat anything right now."
Michonne smiled and laughed. "Well do you have any special
requests?"
Carl thought for a moment as he sat himself up in the bed.
"Oatmeal," he answered. "With cinnamon and fresh fruit."
Michonne chuckled. "I'll see what I can do."
"Thanks!" Carl smiled back. "Where's my dad?"
"Resting," Michonne said. "He's been at your bedside all this
time."
"Really?" Carl replied looking stunned.
Michonne nodded. "He's been worried sick about you, Carl. We all
have."
Carl frowned. "Did he think I wasn't going to wake up?"
Michonne felt her eyes begin to tear up once more and nodded.
"We all had that fear, Carl."
"Oh," Carl responded quietly as he lowered his gaze to the
ground. "I panicked when I first opened my eyes." Then he
paused. "My eye," he sighed while correcting himself. "I don't
know how I'm going to get used to this. Feels like a part of me
is gone."
Michonne didn't know what to say now.
"It all felt like a dream," he explained. "And then I woke up
and realized it wasn't."
Michonne frowned as she reached over and patted his hand. "I'll
go get you some oatmeal now okay?"
"Thanks Michonne," Carl replied.
The sun's rays were beating down on the porch steps as Carol
walked out. Sh stopped and shielded her eyes just to spy Morgan
standing off in the distance meditating with his stick. Carol
narrowed her eyes as she took a seat on the steps and pulled out
a cigarette to light.
She took a light drag of it when she spotted Maggie heading over
with Judith in her arms.
"Morning Carol," Maggie smiled. "Is Rick or Michonne around?"
"Rick is sleeping and Michonne is with Carl," she answered.
"He's finally awake now."
Maggie gasped. "That's wonderful news! Rick must feel so
relieved now."
"He's exhausted," Carol said. "I don't blame him I would be
too."
Maggie nodded. "Well I was going to stop by and see if someone
else could watch her for a while. Me and Glenn want to spend
some time together and I could use a break."
Carol immediately put out her cigarette and stood up. "I can't
take her for you now. I don't mind."
"Oh thank you so much, Carol!" Maggie exclaimed in relief as she
handed Judith over to her.
"It's the least I could do," Carol smiled as she lightly bounced
Judith in her arms. "Have you and Glenn decided on any names?"
"If it's a girl I'm gonna name her Beth," Maggie answered.
"And if it's a boy?" Carol asked.
"Hershel," Maggie replied.
Carol chuckled. "I couldn't think of a better name myself."
"Have you talked to Daryl?" Maggie asked just then. "Do you know
if he and Rick have made amends yet? Glenn wants to know."
"We talked a little last night," Carol answered. "And from what
he told me it sounds like he and Rick haven't made up yet. But
they can't stay mad at each other forever can they? I say just
give it some time."
"You're right," Maggie agreed as she turned and shielded the sun
from her eyes. "I will let Glenn know that."

Not bad, Ricky.
I think Carl adjusting to his lost eye was well done. I was
hoping, however, that he'd tell Michonne about Lori and his
regrets about the way he treated her.
It sounds like the group knows that Maggie is pregnant in your
story. I would've chuckled if Maggie asked Carol to put out her
cigarette (which she just lit) and Carol snapped at her.
Remember how they both argued while on guard duty early in the
season 6 episode "The Same Boat"?
Daryl and Carol talked to each other but it didn't appear in
your story?! Oh, Ricky, you pulled a Gimple! :'(
I hope you post a new chapter soon.

Daryl and Carol talked earlier? I vaguely remember that
happening, but it sounded like this conversation was brand new.
One of the drawbacks of being away from an ongoing story for so
long is you can forget plot points. :-[

Very true which is why I went back and reread what I wrote
earlier so I'd know where I left off.
