Sam & Ana

Sam & Ana were two hipsters Rick and Carol found trapped in a
house while they scavenged a neighborhood for medicine. Rick
half-heartedly welcomed them into the group and they split up to
gather supplies and return to the house for the return trip back
to the prison.
Rick and Carol found Ana's corpse being devoured by walkers.
Rick insisted on staying another hour for Sam, but he never
returned. When Rick next saw Sam, the Termites bludgeoned him
and sliced his throat in preparation for a future meal.
What do you think was Sam & Ana's backstory, and what do you
think happened when they left to get supplies?

Since it was never explained what happened to them all we can do
is speculate. I always thought maybe people from Terminus were
involved and captured Sam but couldn't get to Anna because of
walkers.
The way her leg was chopped off looked to me like someone wanted
it and possibly one of the termites. They don't waste food since
we know they were going to eat Gareth's brother, so it's
possible when Ana was swarmed by walkers one of the termites
tried to make off with her leg but dropped it because of the
walkers coming for them.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I thought happened.
I think Sam and Ana ran into a group of Termites and were easily
captured because they're so weak. Ana was a cripple, making
her useless to the Termites, so one of them cut off her leg just
so she'd suffer more as the walkers closed in on her.
The Termites try to recruit their prisoners, but Sam refused to
join them, so Gareth executed him along with those other men in
an attempt to frighten Rick into telling him where the gun bag
was buried.

Yeah, this is pretty much what I thought happened.

I guess it would make since that the termites would go out and
hunt their food too instead of just relying on people to walk
through the gates every day, cause I'm sure as time went on less
and less people were showing up so Gareth and the others
realized they would have to leave Terminus to find survivors to
bring back.
