Did Carol become Morgan?

When Carol was telling Paula to leave because she didn't want to
kill her, did you think that she kind of turned into Morgan in
that moment? I know this doesn't mean she's going to adopt his
philosophy, but I was surprised that she even thought about
letting Paula escape.

Maybe Carol saw she could've gone Paula's route, and that
frightened her, yet it didn't stop her from doing what had to be
done.
We can't gloss over that Carol's done most of the "heavy
lifting" for the group. Daryl can deal with his share because
that's how he was raised and that's what's expected of him, but
Carol was an abused housewife who found her inner strength. Yet
inner strength can be sapped over an extended time.

I definitely think Carol saw herself in Paula, or at least what
she could have become or is afraid of becoming. Which is why in
the end when Daryl asks Carol if she's good she replies with no,
because she's still afraid of becoming that person who stops
caring.
I did love how protective of Maggie she was and how she shot
that one bitch dead who tried to gut Maggie.
