officials see fit.
WELCOME to VWSL SURFING
All competitions will be held at Haleiwa. Each comp will
feature different boards (where possible). Waves will be chosen
to compliment those boards. Comp specifics will be determined by
the Swell Master.
General Rules and Guidelines
If you miss a heat you will let your opponent automatically go
through to the next heat and you will be eliminated.
This is a 1v1 format. The judges decisions are final. If you
have a question about scores please talk to the Marshall.
Heats will start at 11am SLT sharp.
This event is open to everyone. We are looking to have a
competitive, fun, drama free event. You should enter with that
attitude in mind.

rezz to de-rezz)
B. Style and Control (Does it look cool? Use the entire wave
end to end and top to bottom? Are the constantly moving? NO SIT
AND SPIN! When moving to another wave, is it with purpose?)
-Commitment and degree of difficulty
-Speed, power and flow
C. Tricks and Technique (Do they use all the scripted tricks? Do
they use unscripted tricks? Are they doing something new?)
-Innovative and progressive maneuvers
-Combination of major maneuvers
-Variety of maneuvers
Judging scale :
