Total game wipe

We all can see the boredom that’s taken over the vPopulus world.

Players quit the game, there are absolutely no interesting
events, etc.
How to change it?
In our opinion, vPopulus Beta is dead. It’s slowly falling down
and we won’t try to hide it or pretend that it’s not true. The
bunch of players that still play only wait for Prime. That’s why
we have come to a radical decision. We have promised not to do
that but it seems to be the only option right now. We are going
to close the game and end this once and absolutely. We shall
wipe out everything and there shall be nothing left. Beta shall
vanish in the deepest abyss of nothingness.
The game will still run but it’s only a matter of time.
Eventually it will be closed.
What next?
Prime. Yes, you heard it well... The end of Beta doesn’t mean
it’s the end of vPopulus. You can treat it as a reset. Beta is a
failure... there were opportunities of saving the game leading
it to the bright future—but we didn’t use them. This is all lost
now. Although the work on Prime didn’t stop! We learn on our
mistakes, we’re all only amateurs so that’s the only way we can
learn anything. And we do. We won’t hurry in making Prime, it’s
not really necessary—quality is much more important. By the way,
talking about quality...
The OpenPrime project
We’ll open a new developers forum for you, players. After heavy
thinking (not really) we’ve come to a conclusion that the
players are what really create this game. And YOU should decide
and control the game development. That’s why in a proper time we
will inform you about the progress and what has been done until
now. All the changes will be thoroughly explained. Also, you
will be able to propose your own ideas that may find their way
into the Prime release. On this forum we are also going to
search for some help with technical issues as well (mainly
coding.)
It’s your game after all.
When Prime is ready, we will allow a group of selected testers
to enter and test Prime. They will be able to share their
experience with others on our forum. Then we will slowly open it
for more and more players to test the game’s scalability. Then
we will open it to the public. Users who enter vpopulus.net will
be able to leave their email in order to be informed about the
Prime release or visit our forums.
What about your previous Q&A?
It doesn’t apply now. We’ve done a few mistakes, especially
about telling you that there will be no reset... But we did
learn from our mistakes, and Prime will be the proof of that.
What now?
Feel free to use all the time that’s left for fun. Since
everything will be wiped out, you can do anything (that’s legal
of course.) We appeal for no hard feelings through the last
month(s) of Beta (it depends on when the game dies absolutely).
People, it’s only a game, don’t let it ruin your mood or
something.

Yes, Beta players WILL get a reward: a badge on the profile and
probably some gold. Everything will start from beginning so we
must give away some gold so that everything runs smoothly.
