Server is set up and ready to go. The server admin PW is testes
in case any of you need to become an admin to reset the weekend
or something.

After yesterday's race, what are your thoughts on the new tyre
model and the update in general? I don't know if that was
because of the track but there were bigger differences between
softs and mediums than what I noticed in Blackwood last time.
Driveability was pretty much the same. The need to warm up tyres
is nice because it aims at realism.
I'm not sure what is up with tyre wear. It was hard to notice
any significant wear on mediums. Maybe more than in Blackwood
with the old version, but still pretty nonexisting at least
according to tyre app. My laptimes were about 1 sec slower on my
final laps than my PB in race but I'm not sure how much of that
was because of tyres.

I havent seen any results from the carb rtace. Were there any
issues with the server? If so what were they? I'll try to
address any problems before the race.

Server was running fine at least in my perspective. We couldn't
get results, because none of us had the proper race.json file. I
guess only you can get the results file. There was 7 of us in
the race start, but only 5 finished. There was a quick new guy
called 24rocks. He got pole, but dropped to 3rd at the start. He
was hanging behind me, but then he disappeared suddenly from the
server. Top 3 was Matt-Proto-Maurice (got past Proto when he
made a mistake while I was gaining on him)
BTW, next Sunday is F1 US GP starting at 19 GMT. Will our
starting time still be 16 GMT this weekend? At least here in
Finland clocks are moved 1 hour backwards on Sunday morning.
That means that F1 race wouldn't be a problem for me if we still
start at 16 GMT.

Unless there are special circumstances the races are always at
1600 GMT. That way it is always a known time. This is
regardless of daylight saving time.

I like the new physics. Can throw the car around, and save in a
more predictable way.
The difficulty of catching a spinning car in race-sim's compared
to real life has always puzzled me, like it's harder to
accomplish in sim's than in real life. Even when taking into
account there aren't any G-effects. I think it has to do with
the (increasing) amount of data the software is getting
Fortunately the last patch made it easier without getting an
arcade-like feeling.
I did have moments were I got the feeling of having some lesser
grip at the 6th (left) corner, after the faster corners.
Not always but occasionally. Seems like tyres temperature
considering the spot.
I am going to install a app for that. (Anyone has the latest
ptracker version working with 1.3?)
Previously I have said that 1.3 isn't faster for the Evora. But
now I feel I have been wrong.
I bettered my time with almost a second on carb day in Q, still
with a pre 1.3, not so advanced set up I have used everywhere so
far. (but gearing edit) 24rocks had pole by 0.2 something. Was
he a just visitor on the open server? He's not on the list.
That said..., once in a while I spend some time on the same
server racing and chatting, or just watching cars ( usually
after being knocked of first lap by you know who...) and
sometimes I meet people that are nice to race with. That have
the same idea of sim racing.
Should I (we) invite a person like that for VSCR next time?
There aren't many people on the list. Although I am happy with
the racing as it is.
