I was practicing on our server last evening. Proto was there
also. I got my time down to 1:12.9 and Proto's best was 1:12.5.
I also did 10 laps run with heavy load and hard tyres, times
were between 1:13.4-1:14.7. Proto won our 5 laps race with 1,3
secs marking.
I try to participate on the carb day.

It was fun. Shame I had some problems later that spoiled the
race after.
Apparently the random switching between wheel rotation settings
I had last night (and long before) was caused by Logitech's
profiler different wheel rotation setting in "global" (450) and
"game specific" (900) settings. Usually it was stuck on 450 (I
think ?) , but now it is stable on 900 like I want it.
"All" I have to do now is learn to be just as fast with twice
the wheel rotation. :o
Still not sure what the teamspeak weirdness was about, hoping it
was a one-off.

For those of you who attended the varb day, are there any issues
you had server wise?

Just been online and after going into the pit entry lane, lost
the right screen of my triples. It just went blank with an "out
of range" error and had to reboot windows to clear it and get it
back again. Will try again see if the same happens, else I'll
just do the race without a pit stop.

Don't know why but my car didn't run right in the race. Engine
just stuttered and wouldn't rev. Was down 45 kph on the main
straight. Tried pitting and repairing engine, no luck.
Pedal app showed good pedal response. No idea what was going
on.

' Thought I might as well write down my experiences while still
full of it :)
I got away ok at the start but missed a gear first turn that
made me go wide. Luckily I never touched anything and somehow
still managed to stay in second behind Chad. After 1 or 2 more
laps Chad made an error in the final corner and lost approx. 4
seconds. Now I was in the lead with Chad and Mauserrifle a sec
or two behind, all of us doing similar lap times lap after lap.
I watched Mauserrifle overtake Chad in my mirrors (literally)
and was ok with that having Chad's very fast qualifying time in
mind.
Thinking how I could profit from them fighting each other :)
After a lap or 20 Mauserrifle closed the small gap and was
putting me under pressure.
After some time he clearly seemed faster and I made a minute
error. But it was enough to get him near me and I decided not
to fight his overtaking too much in this long race. But
determined to stay close behind him.
Fortunately he couldn't get away, or perhaps decided to control
the race and save tires.
With Chad close behind me, and all within 4 seconds, we did
another 20+ laps, losing a little, gaining a little but nothing
much happened. With 5 laps to go Chad was right behind me again
and tried to overtake me twice. I was able to create some air
between us but in the final lap I was again under pressure.
More than ever this time.
At the same time Mauserrifle was making a gap now of 3-4 seconds
to me.
Perhaps my tires were finally going down a bit. Or perhaps this
over the hill body of mine couldn't cope with the pressure for
much longer :)
In the final corner of the final lap Chad made a sort of do or
die move which ended up in a shunt for the two of us.
I understand you have to try something at some point:)
This race was amazing. I cant remember having raced 44 laps with
the top 3 within 4-5 seconds ALL RACE
Going as fast they can.
On the replay (I only have last 15 laps) its 4-5 sec
difference on lap 43 !
Great race guys!
THX.
