Interesting Carb Day

So we had the Carb day race today. It was a mixed bag I think. I
think the car and track combo is great. We had a large number of
racers come to the server. Nothing attracts a crowd like a
crowd. Several of the racers were very good clean racers. I
believe we will be picking up at least one form today's session.
Unfortunately the race was essentially a pubby so there was a
bit of a pileup in T1. This tossed a few people off the pace and
some left due to the crashers. This only reinforced my desire to
get the Minorating plugin working.
Also we made sure to reinforce the need to PW the server before
the race next week. The server will be open for practice.
However, when I get on to set up for the race I will be
restarting the server with a PW on it. The PW is listed in the
Race's info post.
I had a great race with Matt and Ccarter, as well as a couple
other pubby racers. I am looking forward to next weeks race.

I was rusty and had a problem with my gas pedal. That was not
my best race, I was sloppy and raced poorly. Ah well, that's
what carb day is all about! Toward the end of the race it got a
lot better and I found a good rhythm. After a little more
practice I'll be right back on track. Thanks for the servers
and the work you've put in, Chad.
2 things:
The end of the race really needs to be moved up to at least 1.5
times the race lap time so everyone can finish their last lap.
The race came to a close just as the count down timer ended the
race- and at that point the guy on my rear bumper and I were
poised for an epic finish.
We need some time between quali and race. At the end of quali I
was expecting 3 mins or so before the race, but I had less than
1 min... and I had to pee really bad! I just held it for the
race :o Ideally we have 5 mins so smokers can have a
cigarette.

Ok, I'll be sure to make those changes to the server. I will
likely make those and then restart the server right before the
race as pick up racing over the week will benefit from having
the shortened laps and hidden between sessions.
