Just recapping my race and a few thoughts...
I qualified 4th and was happy with that. The start was good with
no major incidents in T1. I had a some great battles with Matt
and Guy. Matt and I bumped a couple times. the second time he
took the short end of the stick on the contact. I wasn't able to
save the replay and can't check to see if the contact was my
fault. After Matt fell back I was on Guy's tail for quite a few
laps. I would catch up and then have a bad corner and fall back.
Guy was racing well but also was having some poor corners
allowing me to catch back up. Ultimately at around lap 16-17 Guy
pitted and I lost my battling partner. The rest of the race was
mostly run by myself and I simply was trying to save my tires
and not have a race ending error.
I think the race ending showed several major flaw with league
racing in AC. Namely the inability to save a replay once the
race moves on to the next session and the server having not been
setup with enough time after the first place car crossed the
finish line. It should have been setup with 120 seconds.
However, it did not appear that the server waited the 120
seconds. I'll have to rectify the issue over the next week.
Let us know how your race went and if there were any good
battles you had.

Try manually setting the cfg file for 300 seconds. Also, I
wonder if the setting for Loop mode would solve the problem? I
am not sure what it does but I assume it loops the next race
after the last one finishes so maybe if it does not loop back
around, we can save a replay?

The loop idea may be the ticket. I'll look into it this week and
see if it is a viable option for our Sunday races.

It was quite hard race. The grid was so close eachother. I think
first 7 cars was in a second in qualy.
I span twice and once got contact with a car, so all these
things sent me to the back. Sorry for the contact side by side,
I dont remember who was, that was in the loop section.
Well the worst race for me recently but I really enjoyed with
tight grid.
Congratulations to the podium.

My race was very uneventful. Started from the back, weaved
through the first lap mishaps without any problems. Got past
Neil? who I was following the first couple of laps, and just
tried to keep the lead group in sight. had a back and forth
with Matt due to his going off track and then spent the rest of
the race by myself. Got into third when folks made their stops.
Got a little worried with 5 laps left when the fuel sensor went
on. Started coasting into the turns to conserve fuel. Went
down to 1L left about 2/3s of the way through the last lap. But
managed to finish ok. Happy with third, but would have liked
some more racing. On to Blackwood.

I wrote a longer message, but I was timed out, so I won't bother
writing it all again.
In short, thanks for everyone who helped to solve my join
problem yesterday. Weird that resolution can affect in such way.
Great quali for me, but race was again full of my usual rookie
mistakes. And pit-stop was a mistake too. Once I cut off those
mistakes it will be good. See you in Blackwood, should be good.
And tell your friends of us, few extra drivers wouldn't hurt. I
was happy that almost all who had signed up participated.

Had a very poor race. Couldn't find the pace I'd had during
practise and so was 1 - 2 seconds off of the rest of the field.
I guess all you others were just faking it then with your
earlier practise times that looked competitive to me. ;) Managed
to avoid the initial contacts and settled into rhythm but at a
slower pace and then on lap 8 got caught and dive-bombed by a
faster driver who had been caught up in the early mishaps and
sustained some damage, pitted for repairs, but then I was so far
behind the field there was no point especially on such a bumpy
track. Hope for better at Blackwood.

I wish I had a replay to review that. It is canon here- if you
are faster, WHO CARES- you have to pass when it is safe and
often times even a faster driver can't pass because they may be
faster in the wrong parts of the circuit and can't pass safely.
VSCR does not allow that sort of thing. Here speed is secondary
to racing clean at all times.
If you are faster, you had better pass clean or you had better
learn to follow a slower car.

I had a good qualification session in which I bettered my PB
with half a second.
Starting from second place and carrying less fuel than the car
on pole I just managed to grab the lead in the first corner.
After a few laps I found Mauserrifle just behind me and he was
putting pressure on me.
Largely as a result of that pressure I made the only (small)
error of my race, lost the lead and about 2/3 seconds
Having watched Mauserrifle disappear into the distance I made a
pit-stop on Lap 17, still in second place.
I rejoined in 6th spot, and on fresh tires I managed to take
back two positions, but the new tires were not fast enough to
catch up with the leading cars. Or more precise the cars still
on used tires weren't slow enough. :o
I finished in fourth place. Without actually really finishing
(or having seen the race results) because 100 meters in front of
finish the server switched to a new practice session. Apparently
that's AC's way of SIMULATING things without some edits :P
I had 3 fights with 3 different drivers lasting 2-3 laps each
without making any contact whatsoever.
Way to go! Enjoyed it!
(Edited, forgot my placing:)
