Re: VSCR Server up

I started a server on one of my other gaming computers. It was
easier to setup since the update. It has a GUI that is much
easier to use. After setting up the new server I went back to
the server on the regular computer I use. It was still throwing
up an error when I try to run the ACservermanager.exe I did a
full reinstall of both the AC program and Server tool. I am at a
loss for now. I'll just run it on my other computer until I
figure out the server issue.

After doing some research on my server issue I discovered that
the reason the ACservermanager did not work was because I had
not updated my .net framework to 4.5. Silly me. It appears to be
working now and the server is now hosting the practice server.
Let me know if there are any issues.

I was on the server today. Ran about an hour or so. Had up to 6
people on the server. Only one crasher that I could tell...
others were good. Hopefully we can pick up some more racers if
we simply have the server going and have someone on it to
attract attention. I think the Evora GTC is drawing attention.

It never works that way, unfortunately. One problem with a
pubby is that the 1 crasher will chase off every other driver
and they won't be back. Forum threads seem to work as does
word-of-mouth and positive pubby server experiences (which are
hard to come by). We're going to password protect the raceday
server, our previous experiments of open races have been
disastrous.
Everyone needs to join the conversation in the AC forums thread
HTML http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/vscr-evora-gtc-cup-starting-on-6th-of-september.25179/#post-522058<br
/> Anyone who does not actively participate can't complain if no
one shows up. It's hard getting people to race AC in organized
regular races, AC attracts pubby racers primarily.

Server was changed to 60 minute practice session. I will have to
look into the process for putting the file verification on the
server.

Thanks, Chad. I appreciate you running the server. My laptop has
a dead battery and I'm not buying a replacement. It still works
without a battery though so I can run a server if needed. If
everyone has a good connection on the carb day, we'll just use
your server for the race and everything.
You da man!
It's almost time, I just wish I could make the carb day, I'm
looking forward to the race, it's been too long since I was in a
race.

The practice server for Blackwood is up. It is running the
reloaded (UHD) version.
