Re: AC Evora GTC Racing Series

I was using 5 gallons of fuel, soft tires, and some minor camber
tweaks. Not much more than that if I recall... I dont think I
saved the final settings I used for that time though, as I was
tweaking the set throughout the sessions. Also the track was at
100% traction after a bunch of laps had been run on it by
numerous racers. That may have aided the turns.
Having someone on my ass trying like hell to press me into a
mistake helped me get around quickly as well. Needless to say I
was smiling from ear to ear during the session. My opinion of AC
as a "sim" is unchanged. My opinion of AC as a means to get
competitive races is changing.

Had another good night on the server tonight. I had about 11- 13
racers come though and got a few interested in the series and
league. One of the guys was ridiculous in speed. He was pushing
me like crazy. I ended up with a 1:40.773 or something very
close to it. The game did not record the time for some reason in
its fastest times area. Oh well. It looks like we are getting
some interest. Keep running on the server when you can and we
will get people. AC is chock full of people looking to get into
league racing. I am optimistic that AC will get us the full
grids rF2 did not.

Gotta say Chad that my experience is different. I've been racing
with the guys over at REVS sinced I raced with you on the
aborted endurance series for AC. I starting off in a GT3 League
which was well subscibed and we would get 20 plus entries
regular. Since that finished at the beginning of the summer, the
interest levels in AC seem to have dropped whereas interest in
rF2 is phenomenal We just started a Clio Cup season on rF2 at
REVS and its completely filled, 38 drivers! Brilliant. I've
grown to really like rF2 but still prefer/feel most comfortable
with AC especially after the last update. For me it has
magically brought to light vertical movement as well as overall
really improving the FFB quality. Looking forward to racing with
you all again :D

I am definitely looking forward to racing on Sundays again. I
miss the league races. I agree it seems interest in rF2 is
picking up with each new build update. Also I have seen a number
of new reviews of rF2 which have been overall positive.

AC is fun to drive and the cars handle wonderfully well. I
think going back and forth between AC and rF2 is very natural.
But rF2 is a sim, AC is a racing game.
There's no reason you can't have awesome racing with AC. But it
lacks so many sim features that you can't do a real sim racing
season with points and everything with AC. It's built to pick
up and play. That's just the way it is- but you can do some
great racing! Plus, modders are embracing AC so the future is
bright.
rF2 has lots of poorly implemented features and is built from
the ground-up for online. Hands down for online racing rF2 is
the best when you can can find enough people playing. The
poorly implemented and half assed features that rF2 STILL has
lingering really kill the game. Modders have all but abandoned
rF2 (with a few notable exceptions) and league numbers are
dwindling even if a few groups are doing well.
We tried rF2 for a long time, it just didn't work out for us. I
liked the features for rF2 that worked and really added to the
immersion (for example- a simple warm up lap before the race).
But the half assed features (like no rain on the windshield)
mute what the game offers. AC has a lot more players and to me,
the #1 feature that makes any sim/game worth playing is asses on
the grid. More drivers means more fun and better racing. AC
has the people.

The last race will be at the Nurburgring Sprint track. Nurbs is
one of my personal favorites and the Sprint circuit is a little
different and will be fun with a smaller field
