Are you f**king serious? I am glad they are ditching the
subscription, but I also hope people who have the lifetime
       license get somehow compensated.

       years of frustration.

we need a good track selection, couple GPs, and well known
       tracks.
they keep doing ovals, american tracks and stockcar stuff. thats
       my only concern

abilitites, but I am hoping rF2 is handled properly by S397. I
am willing to give them some time to flesh out this otherwise
fantastic sim. DX11 is a HUGE improvement whether you think it
is or not. While it wont instantly make everything look lifelike
it will go a long way toward making rF2 less resource intensive
and then allow the extra headroom to be used for making the game
       a little bit prettier.

think they ever expected to have to actually produce content.
They expected the development to be handled by the modding
community. But the modding community was not ready to move away
from rF1 and found rF2 to bee too bothersome to build for. ISI
was stuck trying to create a "Game" they never intended. Gjon's
flat refusal to borrow money to hire developers made things even
       worse.

Chad, I have chatted with Marcel quite a bit in the past months.
I have faith in his new leadership vs Gjon. There was no hope
with ISI and the way things were managed, knowing the belly of
the beast only made it more grim. They lost two of their main
developers and never bothered to replace them. One is making
Rogue System by himself, the other was the senior programmer who
left the company over 2 years ago. The work was redistributed
and only recently they (ISI) looked to hire another programmer.
I'm giving S397 the benefit of the doubt through summer of 2017.
The licenses and everything else remains in place for the game
and the current car was already underway before S397 tookover,
so they're just finishing the pipeline of content from ISI.
About DX11, a modder actually said the shaders could be updated
within a week if they wanted to actually do it. Of course it
takes more time to optimize it adequately.
That said, I did have to reach out to a few people in the
background to get communication going, more specifically
adequate modding support. The definition of the word support had
a different meaning to the artists and devs than the one you
find in a dictionary :P. Anyway, by then it will be plenty of
time for things to have changed, it would be nice if they got
different people in the testing team but that's too much of a
       wishful thinking matter.
