       Sorry, had to bail.
Got one of my bikes up for sale and was expecting a possible
       punter at 3:30
Had a good time till then though.
Chad, did I cause you to go off at the first chicane? Sorry if
I did, I was not doing a very good job of looking in my mirrors
and was surprised to see you close to me just before I went in
for the turn from far outside, maybe I squeezed you off there on
       the outside?
Also at the start I was expecting a full formation lap and there
was a stutter just as we went through the last chicane and the
next thing I know people are passing my left and right LOL.
didn't even know the race had started.
Thanks to the admins and Simon for all the work he does, too bad
he missed the race due to no internet.

We are sorry about the server problems today, thank you for your
       patience.
And thank everyone for your participation today. It was a lot of
fun. We will do more races like this in the future.
We will be posting soon information about the fall series.
       Cheers, Juan

Congrats to today's winners, Juan and Tom K. And thanks to Juan
       for putting the event together.
After expecting the worst I had a good race and a heck of a lot
of fun. Certainly a faux pas (or so) along the way that
included a drive through and a stop and go for track cutting but
all in all it went well. With no complaints about the race
itself I do have to say that some of these newer tracks have
what I'd call ridiculous "cut track" penalties. I say this
because both of mine came on what I'd say were very minor misses
and gave me absolutely no time advantage whatsoever.....however,
on one occasion I completely blew a chicane, straight through
the sandbox, went from about .3 seconds behind my best lap at
that point to over, yes OVER, 4 seconds ahead and no penalty!
To me that's ridiculous. (I did slow until I got back to being
behind my best lap, not that it mattered.) Wish there was
something that could be done about that stuff.
So, thanks again, Juan.....see everyone on track soon.

The start was quite interesting. From the grid to the end of the
formation lap in a blink of an eye. :D
Quite a decent race. I went round trying to avoid Phil in the
first chicane. From there on I was quite alone. I managed to get
back to Tom N, with flat spots all over the place. Went around
in Tertre, to ruin my second set of tyres and later on in the
lefthander after Porsche Curves. But with Phil and Akira having
some problems in the end, I managed to move up some places. :D

Heh, could say the start was the result of setting up the backup
server rather quickly. Unfortunately we got information of
Simon's internet connection problems at a bit too late. But tbh,
I think no one would have liked to drive a full lap with snail
       pace either :D
The race was quite interesting. Sebastian was attacking me at
the beginning, it was close, but I came on top. At some point
Kamil overtook Sebastian and we went side by side to the fast
right hander at the back of the track. I stayed inside, but once
I straightened my car for the upcoming left hander I had Kamil
in front of me and not enough braking distance to avoid nudging
him a bit. I got the worst of it and went a bit wide tapping the
barriers. That gave me a bit of damage but not anything I was
planning to fix. I think the damage might have slowed me down,
because after that my pace wasn't that competitive anymore.
Might be the other guys also stepped up their game.
I also had one big spin during the race which I escaped without
a contact (one of those long right handers I think). That
combined with my strategy to not change front tires the whole
race might have been costly. Towards the end I was locking up
quite a bit as my tires didn't feel round anymore. I also got
drive through penalty for coming in too hot for my second
pitstop. 4th wasa bit disappointing result after qualifying 1st.
We surely need to make this race an annual thing in one form or
       another.
My pitstops were 36 and 40 seconds (adding full fuel and
changing rears on both occasions). Not sure if I gained any time
there by changing only rears? Did anyone else do shortshifting?
Looking back at how much fuel I had in the end, it might have
been pointless here (though I could have put less fuel on my
second pitstop, but not because I saved 0,1-0,15 liters per lap
       due to shortshifting).

I just got back from a holiday and jumped into the race with
precious little practice and a setup from another Le Mans
version. Seems I was not up for the job this time as I couldn't
really adjust myself to those conditions properly. Decided to
call it a day after the so maniest half-spin and some damage.
Thanks for setting up the event!

That was fun, I didn't have the pace of the top three but still
found myself second at one point. Still got some work to do on
the setup though, as I managed to have 4 spins in 5 laps towards
       the end.
Will the results file be uploaded?

I have asked Chad to upload the results as he have access to
server log, but I might do it myself if he is too busy atm.

With about 30 minutes to go before official practice session
timer was to begin Simon let me know that he had no internet and
that it was likely he would not be able to host the server for
the race. Simon has been hosting then races for the last few
series and I have let my rF2 server go onto mothballs. It
technically still hosts our old Teamspeak server (It is
currently experiencing issues itself, but thats a discussion for
another time) but has not been updated to most recent versions
of the Server software, Enduracne pack, or LeMans track.
So without hesitation and great anxiety in my mind I set about
to updating everything and getting all the kinks worked out as
quickly as possible. After getting everything updated and
putting up the server I ran into a problem with the Mod not
loading properly. I realized that I never ran on the most recent
version of LeMans and so the permissions on the server would not
allow the Track to be available for the membership to connect. A
few minutes later and with a new permissions file on the server
       I was back in business.
When I setup the new server I checked "fast rolling start" as
the start variant instead of "rolling start". That was what
caused the issue with the start. Sorry if I caused any heartache
       for you guys.
Ok. So we qualify and I did not have a good setup or any
practice leading up to the race. I have a relatively good
understanding of the track and felt that I should be able to at
least not wreck anyone else out. I qualified in 6th place (Ahead
of Tom so Ill take that).
On race start I figured out pretty quickly what had happened and
was able to jump a few spots initially. It didnt last long and
within a lap I was passed by Juan again. I then had a very good
battle with Gerry as we swapped spots a few times. Ultimately
though he had better consistency and slowly pulled away from me.
After that point I was driving by myself, only coming into
contact with other drivers as I began to lap the GTEs. I did get
one penalty for speeding in the pit lane as I came in a bit too
hot on the second stop and got a drive-through. Frankly though I
dont think it would have mattered as Matt had a 70 some second
lead on me at the end.
I finished last in the LMP division (at least of all the cars
that made it to the end of the race) But I still had a great
time. I was very surprised how quickly the race went, especially
considering it was twice as long as our usual 45 minute races
and required 2 pit stops. I am looking forward to hosting
another event of this type in the future. We definitely should
do this again. Maybe even host a series of mixed class again
once we feel we have a adequate attendance week in and week out.
Congratulations to the winners of each division, Juan and Tom
Kapusta, and I'll see you all on track.
       Chad Brown
