       #@$%@*@*(!!!
That lightening strike didn't just fry my motherboard. Tried to
fire up the rig last night, and got electrical smell from OSW
       control box.
       *sobbing*
Contacted Augury. Hopefully we'll get this sorted soon. Until
then, it's the Porsche GT2 wheel.

When it rains it pours. Whats the turn-around time for a
       replacement box?

don't know yet. they've (Augury in Spain) acknowledged my
problem, but we haven't communicated extensively yet.

That sucks are you in an area with a lot of lightning did it hit
the house? even if not go get a UPS plug it all into that may
       save it next time

we get odd powercut v rare now here a fair bit of lightning hits
the trees here I think. worst I have had a sound like a
lightsaber being turned on and swung around for few secs coming
from speakers and cable TV box reset not got UPS but may get one
did you open the box and check if any fuses inside or to locate
which part burnt out it will stink so easy to work out PSU most
likely as 24v and 5v going to Simucube hopefully just new a PSU
and SimuCube motherboard and IONI Pro or Pro HC controller are
ok and encoder on servo. All connect to SimuCube motherboard so
hopefully just PSU took the hit and not that expensive to
replace most use these and smaller ones

hope you get it sorted soon :)

       Well...
fixed the control box. now the servo is going over-voltage after
       a lap or 2.
now i gotta replace the servo.
       insurance came through, fortunately.
it's 3 weeks now. likely another week before i can get a new
       servo.
