       Well the races were run. Those who attended the races had a
       boatload of fun. Those who didn't... well we'll see you all at
       the first pre-season GT3 Series race on Jan 8th. The results are
       here:

       One thing I wanted to address is the low turn out. Not that I
       expected massive numbers, but more about what I did in this race
       and what I will do when we have a particularly low turn out like
       we did in this race. The race was set for 30 minutes. However,
       because we only had 6 people show for the race I made an
       administrative decision to cut the race to 5 laps and have
       multiple races.
       The reason for this was simple. I have run multiple series (not
       just single races, but multiple races in a complete series')
       where we had 6 or less racers in 30-60 minute races. There is no
       fun in that once the grid gets spread out. In these cars
       particularly once the field spread out there would be no hope of
       catching the guy in front of you unless he made a significant
       error. These cars are not nearly powerful enough or draft well
       enough to make a spread field fun to race. The multiple
       shortened races made having a bad run ok since you had another
       race to look forward to. It kept the field together enough to
       keep it exciting. And as it turned out we had completely
       different results from each race. (We even did a reversed grid
       race for shits and grins)
       Don't expect me to do this in the GT3 Series because I don't
       expect we will have a turnout nearly as small as we saw in this
       race. For those who put in good quality time preparing for a 30
       minute race only to be told in the 11th hour that the races
       would be shortened, I am sorry if you were irritated by the
       decision. Don't fear that this decision was made for any other
       reason than to ensure the attendees had the most fun they could
       in this "Fun Run".

       Pre-Season and Points series.
