       Folder Cleanup
   DIR By: Michael Kral
       Date: December 1, 2016, 11:42 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I have noticed since switching to the Porsche and creating a new
driver Michael Kral that the car will not show up in game. I
had to delete my old driver files in the Vette on my machine
before the driver would show up in my game as a Porsche.
Now I have been told by Scott that he sees me in a Vette with my
new paint colors from the Porsche. I asked him to delete this
       folder...
       Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor
       2\UserData\player\Settings\AM_FIAGT3_2012_Z06
The next time he loaded the game he could see my correct car and
       paint.
It might behoove all of you who have been racing here to go into
the "settings" folder listed above and delete all the
AM_FIAGT3_2012_* folders on your own machine. BUT DONT DELETE
YOUR OWN CUSTOM SKIN BY ACCIDENT. It is best to delete the
entire folder because part of the reason is that *.rcd file that
contains the driver info. So just deleting the folder that says
the driver name or car is not enough. Then when you connect to
the server you will download the necessary files again with
       current skins and info.
Chad, it might also be wise to delete these folders as well on
the server as part of cleanup before the new season. This way
when Mem has created new cars for everyone his work will not be
for nothing. During one race last year, my worst showing at RA,
I had some half finished paint job because of this and it caused
me to perform very poorly as a result.

That's fine Tom. It only affects you. I don't mind. It will add
humor to your videos. At least then I could laugh at them. Ha
       ha, ha ha. BOOM.

       Heres the thing about replays:
As you know the Apex GT3 mod installs 2 versions of the cars,
if you look one will have the word "Bop" in it. see example
below. These cars are what is used if you play in single player
mode and when you view replays. If you don't put your custom
skin in both folders your custom skin will not show up in the
replay or single player only in a multiplayer race.
       example:
       single player path is -
       D:\Rfactor2\steamapps\common\rFactor
       2\UserData\player\Settings\AM_FIAGT3_BOP_2012_799\10_WTM_03
       Multiplayer path is:
       D:\Rfactor2\steamapps\common\rFactor
       2\UserData\player\Settings\AM_FIAGT3_2012_799
       1. create car folder in both single player mode, then go to
multiplayer and create the folder again , you will note the
       paths are different.
       2. go to the normal car folder and put your skin in then select
it in the tuning menu, then do the same thing in single player,
make sure you choose the same car and number.
now your skin will show up in replays, but only to you. If your
skin does not show when say tom is viewing his replay then he
will have to do the same, put the skin in both folders. I hope
this helps anyone who is having this trouble it took me a while
       to figure this out
       Piss out!
