       Driving in rain is completely unplayable for me in VR. A couple
       weeks back I got the windows fall creators update, the rift core
       2.0 update, and an AMD driver update to support the rift core
       2.0 update. 1 or a mixture of the three have really reduced my
       VR functionality. I'm afraid I'm going to have to reinstall
       Windows to get everything running again.
       To make matters worse I gave away one of my 22 inch screens to
       my nephew. So now I can't even set up my triples again.

       I have been running in DX11 with zero issues since the last
       update. This update has FUBAR'd my pc in DX11 now... So I have
       to go back to running DX9 for the time being until I can
       upgrade. Good news is I can run DX9 with everything maxed with
       no issues. Down side to that is rain looks just as it always
       has...

       So after some more testing I got a setup that runs solid 45 FPS
       (in VR) in Rain on the Valencia Street server. I had to do the
       following:
       Turn down all details to Medium
       Shadows to low
       particles to low
       4X AA
       No Post Processing
       Opted out of Steam VR Beta (this was a huge help I think)
       May have done low or Med rain... cant remember.
       But it had acceptable FPS now.

       There is still a DX9 build of 1109. however, this is the last
       update it will receive. A driver can still use the DX9 version
       of Build 1109, however, upon a new build release (1120, 1124,
       Etc) there will be no DX9 version. This is why it is very
       important that S397 work on a UI that has the features built
       into it that users of DX9 ere accustomed to.
