I agree we should definitely do some racing in these as soon as
we can and they could not have come at a better time for me, as
I am slowly, but surely, falling out of love with the EGT mod.
Whilst it provided great feedback and the cars are all decent, I
am becoming increasingly frustrated with the setup process.
When making changes on some tracks they just don't effect the
car in the way it should, where as with the new GT3 cars, small
changes have the expected results. So for EGT you end up just
trying random or nonsensical things and then have a car with
some funky setups. For me this guest work just takes to long
and I am loosing interest fast.
As for the sounds, I think they all sound great. I watch a lot
of GT3 endurance racing and if you go on-board in these cars the
sounds are pretty close 8).

Whatever the setup process with EGT cars have been, there is no
denying that the racing has been great.
I have felt setup changes have had more or less the effect I
have predicted. I just generally suck with setting up any car
and it probably will remain black art for me. How could I set up
the car proberly when I don't even understand half of the terms.
Well exaggerating a little, but that one setup page is a
mystery, the one with repounds and stuff
Setup options with gt3 cars are more limited so setups will be
easier. But we are definitely going to finish the EGT series.
It's only two months, enough time to plan for the next series,
most likely with the gt3 mod.

Looks like I am in trouble with Matt again :o.
I think we have all being saying how great the season has been
so far and I wasn't complaining about the standard of racing or
suggesting we don't finish the current season. Maybe I am
reading your response wrong, but to be clear I am complaining
about the EGT changes in setup not making sense IMHO and so
taking to long, as it ends up being a lot of trial and error.
I do know quite a bit about what everything is supposed to do,
and with the EGT mod it just doesn't. Whilst there are more
limited setup options on the new GT3 cars they still need to
make sense, and so far I am happy to report that changes I have
made have expected results, so now I have a benchmark it makes
the lack of sense with the EGT setup changes more glaringly
obvious ::).
So for the avoidance of any doubt, we love you guys, the drivers
here are excellent, and we are all looking forward to the rest
of the season. Besides, Team Xtreme now has a new rivalry with
those Overdrive guys ;D.
