       rFactor 2 AI, What happened?

       ---------------------------------------------------------
So when I first started with rFactor 2 earlier this year, I
would set up some nice offline races with a field of AI to help
learn the tracks, possible overtake spots and driving in
       traffic.
The AI used to be competitive, and I would set them at around
110% so some of the AI where quicker than me. However, this
last couple months I have notice the AI have all got a lot
slower and really don't offer much of a challenge at any of
       tracks. So what happened?
I know there can be variations between tracks and mods, but this
seems across the board with most of the mods and tracks I drive.
I have followed some setup advice from the forums, but any
ideas why the drastic down grade in performance. Yes you might
say I have just gotten faster, but where I used to be a second
or 2 slower than the fastest AIs I am now 2 plus second quicker.
       Any ideas?

You've gotten faster. S397 have made no changes to the game. So
they have made no changes to the AI.

When you change your setup, does that change the AI car setup
also? Or are they stuck with the default setup?
I wasn't sure if the AI cars are a good way to learn the racing
line. I usually just try to hop on the VRC servers when Scott or
Rick are on and just watch them from the pits!

If I recall correctly the AI have a preset setup based on what
the modder built into them. They also use different physics.

Well when I say learn the track, its not really about finding
the perfect line, but if you can get the AI going at a similar
pace to you and you can actually race, then you can often find
out by accident different lines, braking points and ways to get
through a corner that might be better than your current line.
I actually also really enjoy racing with a field of about 20
competitive AI. They are not always well behaved, but they
generally do give you space to race and defend/attack in a fair
       and predictable way.
So I cranked up the AI to 120% mixed in the Apex GT3 mod and the
       McLaren and had a blast!
