I came across this video today and thought I would share it. I
had subscribed to iRacing for a year and participated in several
series before switching over to rF2. I feel this guys pain and
understand every point he makes. Enjoy.

Funny guy,I see you sent him an invitation to VRC,hopefully he
gives it a try here.I have Iracing and I agree,it"s BS,if you
stop paying the membership fees you can"t use the game, which for
me,has cost me over 600.00.Iceracing does have the best tracks
though, and I see why the top simracers compete on there for the
prizes, but I still think the tire model/Physics is superior in
RF2.And with Studio 397 taking over RF2 I believe it will become
alot more popular for League racing.I buy almost all the Sim
games out there but always prefer RF2 over all the others.

When I was considering what proper sim to get (I only got F1 sim
and Dirt series), iRacing was on the list. But the payment
scheme scared me off, and I didn’t even know it was that bad for
your wallet. So I didn’t even try it out. RF2 was cheaper, had
better physics they said, and was apt for endurance racing, had
changeable weather, decent realroad… So RF2 it was and after
trying the demo, it bought it and never looked back.
But the learning curve with RF2 is really steep, whether it is
adapting wheel settings, setting up a car (which I’m still
learning after 2 years), finding leagues, tracks….It’s more a
diy package that can be adapted to your liking. And the more
time you invest in it, the more rewarding it gets. My next step
is also a new pc, with better spec’s, because mine is not really
suited. Although I won’t spend the equivalent of 1.800GBP.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is who he is referring to in the video. He
calls it iceracing. I think iracing is a joke... They have
finally managed to give the cars some reasonable grip, but the
tire model is still FUBAR. You're fastest lap will be your first
timed lap, and that is because unlike what is normal, where you
have to warm your tires up to operating temperature before you
can get up to racing speed, at iracing the tires are fastest
when they are cold. The warmer you get them the less grip they
have, which is not acceptable for the sim that claims to be all
that iracing does.
These are the same people that produced the Sierra/Papyrus
Nascar sims. In every version of their nascar sim you could run
camber maxed out for more straight line speed with zero penalty
in tire wear. In iracing, how many years later? You can still do
the same thing. That's horse pucky...
I don't even want to go into how much it costs...
