I'm trying to do a C7R skin using the template with the IMSA 3
and 4 car. Seems like there is something wrong or missing or I'm
doing it wrong. Once in game the car looks fine in the tuning
menu but as seen on track the car almost appears to be
highlighted. As if it was selected and the whole car is glowing.
I was reading about Alpha layers to remove excessive shine, but
I don't think that's what's happening. The bottom edge of the
car is black as in "none more black." Once in game that portion
is glowy gray.
Help me!!!

Right Matt create a new alt in CR7 2014 car no 03 put your dds
file in there then screen names should be gone as not in mine in
preview or on track :)

Thanks Simon. I thought about that but didn't try it yet. I'll
give that a shot tonight.
And I changed my name to Matt everyone. Or Simon did. LOL.

Ok no prob you need the template for car then one of pre made
skins got most from here or google search Assetto file for URD
are same so can use them too
base skin will be 2048x2048 pixels and 4096 and some 8192
think rf2 only supports 2048 and 4096 skins others are for AC
open .dds skin file in photoshop (will need DDS expoprt plugin
its free google it for Mac and PC

then open the .psd template file if the .dds skin is 4096 pixels
in size make sure template is the same so if it is 2048 make it
4096 in size
in the .psd template there will be a colour here layer select
that. then select all of the .dds skin file copy and paste into
template file
that's the skin basics done then add logo text pasted in layers
so easy to move each one about.
there will be shading layers on some templates above your
pasted in skin so you can add that over your added text/logos
makes it all blend in better
after you finished playing just save the file as a .dds file
(alt01.dds) make sure alpha is ticked on box that pops up on
file save
That's it you made first skin

Should have added the quote was a reply to Matt's question ::)
In the preview shot there is no names on windows but in the
version I downloaded there are three names on the both sides.
Can I bother you one more time and ask kindly if you would
remove them?
The answer to you question is prob in post to Triffy that is the
way i do it to get that look do need bit of a flair for
photoshop need the layers not all paint programs support layers
or .psd file direct painting the dds will make it too bright
that why i paste in original template file to get the shading
and alpha layers :)

So I went to tuning menu and clicked on create dir and put the
skin to that folder that was created... so not like this but I
have to create a new folder manually?
