I think his (Steve's) argument has some validity. I don't run
aids as a form of personal achievement. I can control the
vehicle without the need of aids, I just am not as fast as most
other drivers so I generally filter to the back of the pack. It
is not a matter of faster drivers are faster because they use
aids so much as they are willing to place their car into
situations those of us who don't use aids may not think we will
       get away with.
Also please refrain from personal attacks. I didn't see Steve
attacking anyone personally. He was just making an observation
and a statement of opinion. I have found Steve to be an
honorable and safe racer. I don't believe he is the cause of his
accidents in many cases. I have not gone back to look at each
incident specifically but I suspect that many were caused by
close racing which ended badly due to people overdriving their
       cars.
This does bring up a more important point I think needs to be
       re-iterated.
You cant win the race if you dont finish.
Safe driving is number one. We all have senior moment and do
silly things on track. However, I think we all could be reminded
that getting to the end of the race is more important than
getting in front of the next driver within a lap. If you can't
make a safe pass you should not be making the attempt. This
requires that both the passing vehicle and the vehicle being
overtaken are aware of their surroundings. If you are being
overtaken give room. If you are overtaking make sure you can do
so safely. Remember, it is the overtaking drivers responsibility
       to complete the pass safely.
Up to this point Matt and I would only review incidents if there
was an actual request for such a review. I don't want to have to
start reviewing each race for all incidents. I do this for fun
and for the enjoyment of the membership. I already commit a shit
ton of time to the league and adding any more time would most
certainly make it feel more like a job than a hobby. Please,
please, please don't make us have to do that.
