Was a good fun, we crashed each other out with Steve, partially
due to silly rF2 collision behaviour, still enjoyed my short
lived evening.

I felt pretty happy about my pace. I used higher downforce in
the race and it was paying off until I crashed. I was being
cautious there but was one of those moments where I felt
invincible. I was hungry for cake :p
MF, it was Steve and you who crashed. I was like "oooh shiiit".
I guess you had a bad start by purpose? I like this car but the
track was pretty bomb. Reminded me off Longford where there is
constant danger. Would have like to have that fight for the win
with Cakes, oh well.
See you next week!

Ah, edited my post to Steve, sorry!
Yeah I let the field pass on both starts to get some racing, and
racing i got, despite it being short, it was fun.

despite me being way slower is good to race against someone that
wont do anything wonky or take weird lines or do sudden changes
of direction.
props for clean racing!
managed to get good pace later on but i crashed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I had a decent start on both attempts. I had an early off and
took some damage which took 170 seconds to fix. I then settled
into a pace which was not near qual speed. I had a brief spin
with about 10 minutes to go but took no damage, only flat
spotted my tires. I was able to outlast 9 others for a 4th place
finish. the best of any of my last dozen or so races. i'll take
it.
For what its worth I was happy with the turnout and I think most
people who took part in the race had a good time. This was a
very challenging car and track combo. I would like to think that
many of our members would not shy away from a challenge just
because it is difficult.
See you next week at Sao Paulo.

The whole point of off-season is that we try something different
from what we would race during our series. Then there is
pre-season to test out things before series' points races start.
Imo this was a good reminder of the danger element racing has.
It's a good practice for the upcoming series also because URD
cars aren't as stable as Apex cars and things can go ugly fast.
We also have 45 mins races in our upcoming series so it's good
to remember that you must finish before you can score. Sometimes
it's a wise decision to ease off and lose few seconds rather
than push the whole time and end up losing a tyre, or two. I got
a good reminder of that :)

Well that was the last race for me here, the best track and car
combo yet and it was fun - for 5 laps, heh! I moved up to 2nd
and was gaining slightly on the leader Cupp Cakes, dropping the
folks behind except for foster and it was looking good. That's
all I've got to say.
I enjoyed the 1st season the most, there was less of us on the
grid but we could all rely on respectful and clean racing and
that was awesome. Good times :)
Thanks a lot guys and thanks a lot to Chad and the organisers, I
hope the league goes from strength to strength, I wish you all
the best.
So thanks again, and ciao :)

Y'alright boys I thought I was being very diplomatic actually
with my previous post because I was pretty pissed off about
being taken out of the 3rd race in a row, I didn't really want
to mouth off about it so I just kept it short and sweet. But Mem
did say last night it come off as sounding pretty blunt which I
suppose it does despite my best efforts for it not to.
So I just wanted to make clear I have enjoyed racing with you
all over last 2 seasons, I think your all a good bunch of racers
at heart and I have had some good moments, VRC is very well run
league with the right spirit, to be honest I would like to
continue racing with you boys if it was not for 2 things, one is
the URD mod which I just can't enjoy no matter how much I try.
The other reason is something else, probably it all leads back
to the aids, not because of the disadvantage it may bring me in
terms of car and tyre performance - actually more because of the
mentality them aids instill in people in the sense that it
encourages and rewards ever more aggression and risk taking - if
you can drive the wheels of it from start to finish why not? But
im running no aids, I chose to join league running aids so I
can't complain too much but I got a bit tired of too many
unneccessary accidents caused in my view largely by aids induced
hot headedness.
I was gonna see out these fun races before you went to the URD
but you know I had enough at Nola that was god damn stupid what
happened there, then taken out of Sebring and Tigermoth I just
had enough now, I'm not interested to spend time making setup
and practising a bit just to get taken out all the time. It can
happen some of the time, it can't happen all the time. I think
what aids to is put people on steroids. It lets them them race
harder and more agressively than ever before, risks you might
not talk on no aids you would take on aids, and I feel that
leads to a pretty unholy cocktail that I don't like.
So I don't think your a bunch of assholes, or the league is a
bad league, totally the reverse on both counts I want to be
clear about that. In fact this rebirth of VRC has been a huge
success, a good bunch of guys who know how to race is ideal for
me, but I don't run aids and I found these things ultimately to
be incompatable in steroids boosted race environment. Too many
risks on top of the risks that already do and always will exist
just make it unworkable I feel.
I had a lot of good times as well and I am glad of that. Sorry
if my last post sounded a bit blunt, I am glad I joined VRC and
if I liked to run aids I would continue, but i'll never run aids
nor the URD so I'm sorry to say I'm out. I'm grateful to all
runing the league your doing a great thing, in fact if it was
not for the aids I would say this is the best league I have been
in for a long time and it has a lot of potential still yet.
Thanks for the good times, hope the new season in the URD goes
great for you all :)

dont blame aids for your lack of racecraft, yes accidents
happen, but if you're involved in a lot of them then you might
want to reconsider your own actions too. i think the whole
aids/no aids argument is a cheap excuse, mostly, dont run
without aids and expect to perform and everyone behind you brake
50 meters earlier because you cant. i can get away without aids
for the most part but i choose to use them to save tyres and
avoid unfortunate flatspots.
you know, if you think everyone is an asshole (driver) then it
might be the case that you're the one in the first place.
