Leaping and Bouncing

A stone keep stood among the greenery, partially surrounded by a
wall. The roof was missing, some walls had toppled over, and
others stood in minor cosmetic deficiency. Lovely birch trees
swayed and danced in the breeze. It was a beautiful scene in its
own way bathed in sunlight. However, if one was to take in their
surroundings, they would notice a small brown ball amongst the
ruins. It seemed to be bouncing and darting around.
A female fisher cat happily bounced and hopped between piles of
rubble and the walls of the keep. She hopped of a rock to the
ground and raced around periodically stopping to paw the ground
and sniff. Finally, she stopped and started digging rapidly with
her front paws continuing down, her head disappearing into the
ground. There were other previous dug holes surrounding the
area, but she needed a new one! She turned around in her nicely
dug hole, popping her head over the edge and laying it on the
ground, her body curled up in her hole.
She had wanted to play with the pack, it was fun and sometimes
they even entertained her instead of the normal continuing to go
about their day pretending they didn't have a fisher cat flopped
on their head or biting their leg. She thought the pack would be
here, but when she arrived though, after only two distractions
(she thought she saw breakfast and oooh!What a pretty rock), she
didn't see anyone. She wondered where Hygar or Mouse was, but
her attention was quickly diverted to a pretty butterfly as she
hoped out of her hole at it.

From within the keep a loud shriek could be heard as Mouse began
to yell. "HYGAR! Kodan was in my room AGAIN! My books and
scrolls are everywhere! How am I supposed to start the first
library of Voraniss under these conditions?!" Mouse's library
was really a glorified shelf with some old books on it, but it
didn't stop her from daydreaming about its potential. Her loud
stomping would grow louder as she made her way outside,
clutching some parchment tightly within her fist as she shook it
towards the sky. "Curse you Kodan!"
She was distracted from her tirade, however, when her foot
caught in one of the holes on the ground. She toppled forward
into the dirt and just laid there sighing. "This is not my day,"
she grumbled. Awkwardly, she flopped over onto her back to peer
up at the clouds. That was when the movement out of the corner
of her eye directed her attention to the nearby fisher cat. "Oh,
hello there Esther. Having fun are you?"
