I can tell Georgie's nervous. When she says that she normally
goes over her mom's lap so she'll go over mine I can't help but
smile as I help her into place. tre"Here we go. Now just get as
comfy as you can," I say as I get the thermometer ready.

Once he sits down, and helps me over. I take a second to get
comfortable over his lap. I suck in a breathe for a second and
look away. "Im readdish Josh." I say softly.

"Okay, here we go," I answer gently as I part Georgie's cheeks
and insert the thermometer. "Deep breaths. It'll be over soon,"
I tell her gently.

Its hard to be comfortable in this moment. This was so weird and
strange. I only really have ever had mom take care of this.
Having Josh take over today was kinda causing some new feelings.
The ones that I really never knew my dad too well. I take a deep
breathe and let it out slowly.

I know it's weird, but I'm hoping that the more this happens the

I try to look back at him but I can't. He says that I'm doing a
good job. I take another breathe and let it out slowly. "Are we
done yet though?"

Just when Georigiana asks if we're done the thermometer beeps
and I take it out of her bottom. "Yep. With this, at least," I
say as I clean and recase it. Gently, I pat her bottom. "But now
I need to give you a vitamin suppository," I add as I take it
out of the package.

Josh says that we are done with that part, and I really wanna
get up off his lap. He says we have another part and I sigh
inwardly. I take a deep breathe and squeak out a quick.
"Okayyyyy." I say with another deep breathe. "You can do it." I
pause and take another breathe and kinda wait for a moment,
trying to be somewhat completely still.

I feel Georgie's breath as well as see it, and hear the way she
answers me. Briefly I give her back another gentle rub. "It's
okay, Kiddo. You're safe," I remind her.
Once she's ready I quickly but gently part Georgie's cheeks and
insert the suppository, then remove my finger. "There we go. All
done. You can sit up now and let me hold you if you want."
