New Room, New Morning (Dad and Joel)

Once I'm sure Josiah's doing well and up and at em it's time to
see about Joel, so I head to his bedroom next. I knock on his
door the same as his brother's and then enter the room without
waiting a reply. Going to sit beside him on the bed I rest my
hand on his back. "Hey, Joey. Time to wake up, Kiddo."

I'm awake before even the sun because my brain doesn't want to
sleep but stay in my bed. It's cosy. I think I fall asleep again
for a little while because I soon hear Dad knocking. Daddy rests
his hand on my back and tells me it's time to wake up, "Morning
Dad! I say slowly kinda waking up more.

"Good morning, Joey," I answer my son warmly, rubbing his back.

I look at Dad, right about what? I asked not really sure and
then I remembered. I squirmed lightly, Oh yeah...but I always
sleep good.

I raise my eyebrow knowingly when my son asks what his Mom was
right about. He gets it, and then tells me that he always sleeps
good. The squirm isn't missed on me, though, and I sit back,
holding open my arms. "Come here."
