A moment later the thermometer beeps and I let out a breath of
relife. It's over which is a good thing. I shift a little over
Mom's lap, "Do I got a fever? I ask, if I do then that's bad.

"No fever," I answer my son as I continue to rub his bottom,
"but in a moment you're going to get a vitamin suppository and
then I'm going to plug your bottom to help you hold it."

Mom says I don't got a fever but I'm going to get a vitamin
suppository which makes me pout. But I don't need vitamins Mom,
I'm plenty healthy. I say to her cause I am.

it's as good as done," I remind him. "Deep breath." I pick up
the suppository and part his cheeks, pushing it into his bottom
a full finger's length and holding it in place.

I pout for a second at Mama's words, "But that's being
stubborn." I point out cause isn't that true? Mom reminds to
take a deep breath and then the suppository goes in which is not
comfortable I squirm, "Moooom" I really don't like it.

"It's being a mom," I answer my son's comeback with a light pat
to his bottom. The suppository goes in Joey's bottom and I hear
him call out. "I know, Joey," I coo. "Just take a deep breath
and let it out slowly."

I hear Mom and she pats my bottom when she answers me. I nod
though Mom...stubborn same thing. I pout lightly and then take a
deep breath and let it out slowly.

I laugh lightly at my son's answer and withdraw my finger. Then
I pat his bottom again. "Alright, you can get up and dressed.
Time for bed."

Mom's finger comes out and when she says I can I get up and
dressed again. I am glad I don't got a plug though. Once I am
dressed I crawl into my bed, I don't get the point of
suppositories' but I'm glad its over.

As Joel gets up and dressed I spot his plug on the bedside
table. 'Oh! You know what? We forgot something," I tell him as
he gets up and dressed. He lays down but before I pull the
covers over him I say, "we need to get the plug in you so you
don't accidentally expel the suppository. You can come back over
my knee or you can lay like that and tuck your knees up under
your chest."
