**NEWS (SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION)**

I know, I know, it's pretty bare.
As with all communities just starting out, I am going to need
your help getting the word out. It looks sparse right now, but
I hope you can all envision (no pun intended) what this forum
could become if it is nurtured and supported and active. This
forum will not work without a community because its intention is
to be a place FOR a community.
I will do my part to get people here, but I still need help. I
am a grad student after all, and working on this forum is purely
out of love.
If you know ANYTHING about advertising or getting the right
traffic to a website, please let me know. It also has to be
free (for now). In an ideal world, this will have its own
domain and an engaged community.
Please try to see this as it could be, not as it is right now.
If this idea is even remotely of interest to you, please join
and please tell someone. I also appreciate feedback and advice.
And encouraging words too, who am I kidding.

**UPDATE 9/22: I've submitted this forum to major search
engines. Not sure I did it exactly right. I'm hoping that if
someone googles "Visual Impairment Forum" (like I had, to find a
place like this) this will be on top. So far, tested that and
it's not working yet.
I've also created a FB page. I'll be using it to post
inspirational quotes. I will be roaming the interweb to find
where visually impaired people may be, sharing my experience and
linking here.

I've also been finding some great support groups for people with
VI on Facebook but I'm afraid I haven't had the chance to link
them yet. So when I get the chance, I will, because they
deserve a shout out. There's some great people out there, I
feel so blessed being a part of such a great community. And to
think, a few months ago I didn't even know this community
existed!
