Thanks Jake. I had some trouble registering, had to use an IP
that nobody ever ever used for spamming before. I wonder how
many others gave up trying to register here...
Just a bit frustrated, Im really a nice guy they say. ;D
I was cruising around VT when I saw your signature there and
realized that Ive been searching for forums to hang out at, and
I had overlooked the VT members. I dont like VT much, the mods
are way too mean. I know its hard to get a forum up and
running, so I dont come without realizing my responsibility to
       contribute.
Im 14, have been in permanent foster care since I was 7 but have
been in a wonderful private family (actually an older couple
whose kids are now off to college) since sept 2012, and starting
homeschooling (hackschooling) 4 months ago. Whats
       hackschooling?
  HTML http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h11u3vtcpaY

It means that since there is nobody else to impose their hopes
and expectations on me, I chose my own curriculum as I go. Its
awesome. I have always been very much a geek anyway. Being a
foster, I was strong on survival and a bit lacking on trust,
compassion, and fitting in. I have turned my life around now.
Still, I value my online friends highly. Im not much into the
darker teen topics just yet. I enjoy being a kid still,
especially now in a free environment. I spend all day online,
researching, learning, discussing. I have only close real-life
friends, not a bunch of almost-trusted acquaintances.
So I want to post and some people to post to. What is the plan
for and the status of your board? Work with me here.

You're very welcome. But just so you know, it wasnt really me
who posted that. At least, I didn't post it the second you
registered. It was a welcome topic configured in the admin
control panel. :) you do seem like a very nice person. I would
really like to get to know you a bit. :d I try to be nice to
people, but if people really annoy me then all hell breaks
loose. As long as you don't annoy me too much, you'll be on my
good side. :-) I am really glad you found this board. There
aren't many members on here yet, so this is really a nice place
to be. As long as you post in contribute a lot, we will end up
with a lot of topics and post. Hopefully you will refer some
other members too. I would really like to keep the sport up and
running. And I understand what you mean about the mean mods on
VT, but you must understand that they are just doing their jobs.
I am actually friends with like three or four of them. Really,
they're nice people. :) I will try to be online as much as
possible, but it is getting kind of hard as I do have other
responsibilities as well. I admin other forums. But really, you
seem like a nice person. I really would like to get to know you
       a bit. :)

This is your board Jake and I will do exactly as you ask without
question. I am not a believer in "free speech" in someone elses
home. I am on other boards so I cant guide all my friends here,
but as far as me posting and contributing...
Perhaps if I knew more about the other active members. Consider
what this looks like to a new member. What is there you can do
to encourage people to stay? What is the "purpose" of the
       board?

The purpose is just as like a chat forum for teenagers. I'm not
the one who created it, and I certainly don't own it, but I'm
here to help run it. Whoever taught you about not speaking in
other people's homes taught you well. :) There are plenty of
empty forums on this board, so why don't we fill them, shall we?
       :d
