Server issues - Wednesday 21st September

Hi all,
We were having issues with the new server hosts. Playfields were
taking a long time to load and people were losing SVs/CVs from
changing playfields. Things were also running a bit slower, so
we decided to go back to the previous server hosts....sometimes
its hard to know who's going to provide a better service until
you try them.
Although everything was backed up, for some odd reason the
faction information seems to have mucked up. This is really
strange (and annoying) because there were no issues changing to
the new hosts, yet we have this issue going back to the old one.
All of the faction names have changed to just [] instead of
having your 3-letter faction name. While this is only a visual
thing, it became a problem for people having problems changing
an entity from faction to private, and vice versa.
The way to fix this, is for faction members to change everything
to PRIVATE. When all your bases/ships are done, everyone leaves
the faction. One person then creates the faction again (you can
use your original faction name), then the rest join in the
faction again. Once done, put all your ships/bases to your new
faction.
Yes its annoying but the only way to get everything back to how
it was ......
If you forget a ship, or base, and therefore can't access it
just yell out when I'm online and I can fix it for you. Moedeb27
can also do this, so either of us can assist when we're on.
Also, if you have a lost SV or CV due to playfield changing
issues, again, yell out as we can track them down and recover
them.
