What planets are there, Are they PvP or PvE?
On Venatus Australia we are trying to give our players new
experiences and challanges that you may not be getting on other
servers.
One of the ways we are doing this is to give you planets that
you may not have seen before, not just in name, but also in what
you can expect to find.
Note:
A playfield is an area that requires a change in screen,
therefore a planet, moon or orbit are all separate types of
playfields.
A sector is the collective group of playfileds that you can
travel between without needing to warp between.
So here are our current sectors and the playfields within them
as well as an idea of what sort of planet they are: (Green means
PvE and Red means PvP)
Lysithia Sector
[li]Lysithia - This is a temperate planet with a
breathable atmosphere and aimed at the absolute beginner. It has
plentiful resources and no wildlife at all and no alien bases or
drones. It is Not a starting planet. [/li]
[li]Lysithia Moon - Standard moon with no alien bases.
[/li]
Initium Sector Note: None of these planets are currently starter
planets.
This sector is quite different, it features 5 planets and one
moon. Since all of these are in the one sector you Do NOT need a
CV (warp drive) to travel between them.
Each planet has all the basic resources required to start,
however each one only has one that is particularly plentiful, so
you will need to travel to the others if you want more of the
lesser resources.
All 5 planets are starter planets.
[li]Hetoo - This is a temperate planet, with a breathable
atmosphere. It has a large range of bugs and alien bases that
will do their best to kill you. [/li]
[li]Payrc - This is a temperate planet, with a breathable
atmosphere. It has a large range of bugs, a few alien bases that
will do their best to kill you. [/li]
[li]Sobrii - A barren planet and no breathable atmosphere,
plenty of bugs and alien bases. A good start for a slightly more
experienced player. [/li]
[li]Opruna - A cold and frozen planet, the atmosphere is
breathable, there are a lot of bugs and alien bases to deal with
however. [/li]
[li]Hostlye - A desert planet with no breathable atmosphere.
Another slightly more challenging starter planet with bugs and
alien bases a plenty. [/li]
[li]Thoth Moon - Standard Moon
[/li]
Andreas Sector
[li]Andreas - A beautiful temperate planet with a
breathable atmosphere and all the resources you need to start
you Venatus life. It has only friendly wildlife and lots of
eatable plants. This is normally a starter planet, but currently
isn't and is a great peaceful place for a beginner to find their
feet.
Warning - whilst the wildlife is non threatening, they will try
to protect themselves if they sense danger, so be careful if you
choose to go hunting. [/li]
[li]Andreas Moon - Standard Moon with no alien bases.
[/li]
Bellum Sector
[li]Bellum - This is a harsh Mars like planet, it is a PvP
starter planet. It has basic plant life, some eatable, most not.
There are a lot of bugs that will kill you given the slightest
chance (even more so at night) and a lot of alien bases and
drones over every hill. This planet has been designed to
challenge the more advanced player and you can expect to die
regularly (especially at the start) [/li]
[li]Relinquo - As you might expect this alien planet has plenty
of things that want to eat you. You'll find all your basic needs
for survival here. If only it was that easy ;) The atmosphere
is poisonous and there are lakes for your water and O2 needs.
Feel free to start here if you dare.[/li]
[li]Talium Moon - This moon is different, it is almost planet
like on a smaller scale, even the atmosphere is breathable and
there are lakes. There is however also bugs and alien bases, so
don't think for a second that it's an easy place to be.
[/li]
Marusian Sector
[li]Marusia - A barren planet, few resources and a non
breathable atmosphere. So why visit? Well you might find
something important here - or will you? Visit and find out[/li]
[li]Chronos - This planet will give you nightmares, you are
almost certainly going to die here. The sounds and the eeriness
will make you want to turn tail and run, however if you want to
discover the treasure of this planet you will have to stick it
out and avoid being eaten alive (actually on the bright side
you're very unlikely to live long enough to know you're being
eaten)
[/li]
Proceram Sector
[li]Proceram - This is a temperate planet like nothing
you've seen so far. The atmosphere is breathable and there are
tropical plants, but that is where the similarities end. You
will have to visit to find out exactly what makes it different
and of course everything there is trying to kill you!
[/li]
Altair Sector
[li]Altair - A frozen wasteland, non breathable atmosphere
and as you'd expect - plenty to kill you. Although it doesn't
sound inviting, it still has its qualities. You should check it
out, could be worth you while.
[/li]
Ignis Sector
[li]Ignis - A volcanic planet with a toxic atmosphere.
Don't for a second think that if you've seen one volcanic lava
planet you've seen them all.
Some things manage to survive here - will you be one of them?

[/li]
Tagoran System
[li]Athos - a swampy temperate planet, with brown murky
water and smoggy skies. Despite this, the atmosphere is
breathable. [/li]
[li]Sauron - a temperate planet with a difference, you'll find
poisonous gas emitters and possibly the odd bug or two, don't
forget the aerogaurd! [/li]
[li]Tagora - gets a little chilly here, better pack your winter
woollies, winter isn't coming - it's already here [/li]
[li]Koralis - keep an eye out for Tarzan swinging through this
jungle planet, you never know what you might see, or more
importantly what might see you! [/li]
Diluvio Sector
[li]Diluvio - Do you have gills and webbed feet? How about
a trimaran or a triplehorn? No, well you'd better not venture to
far from your SV then, because the water is the only place
you'll be safe (assuming you are really good at treading water
that is).[/li]
[li]Diluvio Moon - This moon is different, it is almost planet
like on a smaller scale, even the atmosphere is breathable,
there is snow and lava on the same planet. And as you'd expect
there are also plenty of bugs and alien bases trying to kill you
at every opportunity.
Triton System
[li]Galina - A beautiful temperate planet with vast
oceans, volcanic islands and large continents with mountain
ranges. It has a breathable atmosphere with an average
temperature of 23°C.[/li]
[li]Metis - A temperate planet with vast oceans, volcanic
islands and large continents with mountain ranges. It has a
breathable atmosphere with an average temperature of 27°C. [/li]
[li]Roka - A desert planet with mountain ranges, lakes, plains
and rugged terrain. The atmosphere is relatively thin and non
breathable. Oxygen can be generated from the water of the lakes.
[/li]
[li]Triton - A desert planet with some small lakes, but consists
mostly of scorched plains, with some rugged terrain. The
atmosphere is relatively thin and non breathable. Oxygen can be
generated from the water of the lakes. [/li]
[li]Triton Moon - A moon just as you'd expect, get some extra
resources here that you might not find on the system planets.
[/li]
Tutus Sector
[li]Tutus - A quiet and serene temperate planet, great
place for meditation, contemplation and breathing in and out. It
has all the resources you'd expect a good selection of animals
to kill for those sweet juicy BBQ's and water to bathe and
frolic in (maybe even to drink). [/li]
[li]Tutus Moon - A fairly safe and tranquil moon, good for a
picinic, a wonder and a little mining of those resources you
don't have back home on the planet. [/li]
There are currently 40 different playfields on the Venatus
Australia server, they make up 13 sectors, 8 PvP and 5 PvE. 6
planets are currently starter planets (4 PvE and 2 PvP) and as
stated at the start we strive to make our planets and sectors a
little different. This will continue and we are always happy to
hear you ideas - remember we invite anyone to design their own
planet and if it's unique enough, will will add it to our solar
system and let you name it - details can be found here -
