Ja d'Attaque: video driver crash. Can no longer play.

This is just an explanation as to why I suddenly dissapeared
with Hidden_Phantom in my CV in Auron (Is it called Auron?)
space, in a CV shapped like a billards table.
Something about being in space, and possibly all of the lights,
makes my video card driver crash. I've updated the driver to
latest from the manufacturer, and I've been going through many
many many forum posts about down grading the games graphics
settings beyond the scope of what is available in the options
menu, but sadly it looks like I have to suck it up.
I don't mind so much. The game is in Alpha, and I play on a 4
yr old gaming laptop with an AMD 7600M video chip. There are
       limits.
Anyway, sorry to leave a ship near the warp in point, and sorry
to Hidden_Phantom. My rescue attempt failed badly, leaving you
in a ship you could not escape from. Really very sorry about
       that.
I'll try again if I miraculously find a way to turn down video
settings further, or at the next patch. Enjoy Space Lego, you
       crazy cats!

There's been a few people have issues with the detail levels and
lighting on the new build .... not sure what they've done but V6
is not as stable gfx wise compared to 5.x
       Andy.

Ok.. This I know a lot about. I take it that you are running
Windows 10. There is an annoying issue with Windows update
updating your video drivers to the latest version even though
the latest drivers do not work with your video card.
I'm running on a laptop with an AMD 8970M installed and Windows
drives me nuts with it, so I have disabled the Windows Update
service on my machine to counteract this annoyance.
The driver you specifically need is 16.2.1 ... but it is
worthwhile installing 16.1.1 first and just see how you go
before upgrading to 16.2.1. Do Not upgrade past this driver or
you will fall back into Driver Hell.
First things first... Right Click your taskbar and select Task
Manager, go to the services tab, at the bottom chosoe open
services and then find wuauserv or windows Update service. Right
click it and click properties, then change Automatic to disabled
and make sure you stop the service. Next hit Win-X and then Go
to Device Manager and then go to your display adaptor and right
click it, unistall the device and ensure you click the box to
delete the driver. Once it is gone, install the driver I have
Insisted (16.1.1).. This should pick up your graphics card and
work again. Reboot if you like..
Then try the game out again. This should solve your hassles...
AMD are a bunch of *insert Expletive Here* for not continuing
support of our dated graphics chipsets.
