       Weapon Limits - Yes or No = YES

       Update 16 Jan 2017 - The overwhelming vote was to
       [glow=red,2,300]keep weapon restrictions in place[/glow] and as
       such that is what will happen for the foreseeable future. We
       will happily revisit this if / when the Devs add (or remove)
       extra functionality where this would warrant further discussion.
       Thank you to everyone who voted and respectfully offered their
       opinions on both sides of the argument.

       Ok, so we have now been playing for a few weeks with the weapon
       limits turned on.
       I know initially people didn't like them, however some people
       have also now decided they like them as well.
       So we are going to take a vote - which will end at midnight on
       Sunday 15 Jan 2017.
       You need to vote - silence won't get you what you want, vote and
       leave comments saying why you have an opinion one way or the
       other. (make sure your comments are respectful and give your
       reasons for your opinion)
       [glow=red,2,300]The decision will be final[/glow] - and *may not
       be totally based on the vote result, we will also take the
       opinions expressed as well as the individual opinions of the
       Admins.
       *However if the vote is very one sided it is unlikely we would
       not go with the vote result.

       I've been told the game limits the weapons limits to yes or no,
       i am pro option 3 which is scaled weapon limits
       When/If Eleon make the a third option (other than yes or no)  i
       will vote differently.
       I have seen the arms escalation that unlimited weapons lead to.
       Weapon limits is the lesser of two evils  (i saw Andy break his
       back trying to make a poi a challenge, and be trumped every time
       just cos someone had 15 missile launchers.) and thus have voted
       no at the moment.

       With the weapon limits off fights were over in seconds and with
       so many turrets on a CV the lag was so bad, its way better the
       way it is. the only down side is that there can be alot of bases
       all at one spot and that can add up to hundreds of turrets so
       that can be rather  unbalanced but that aside it makes design
       alot more important.

       The weapon limits give balance and depth in PVP, and meaning to
       ship size - and although they aren't perfect they encourage more
       fights and the fights just seem more fun due being able to
       experience them in real time and surviving more than one
       indirect hit. I also feel the limits make me think about my
       builds a lil more.

       Yes keep weapon limits for balance and performance reasons, but
       a little bit of an increase in limits would also be ok..

       Same, I'm for weapon limits.
       Also want to flag a concern, the current exemption or exception
       to weapon limits; ships outside the limits, because they were
       built pre wipe/limits so are allowed to be admin spawned in.
       concerns are;
       1. new players will never have this opportunity, as they can no
       longer build such a ship that can later  be repeatably spawned
       in
       2. Using such a ship is a massive advantage in pve
       3. Using such a ship in a pvp zone is again a massive advantage
       over anyone with weapon limits.
       And using it in a pvp zone includes harvesting E & Z or
       traveling through any pvp zone while saying "Im only pveing, &
       wont attack you unless you attack 1st" feels like a free pass
       for any Op ship.
       I can understand why this happens, but can we get some clear
       rules about this if weapon limits stay please?

       Yes for keeping the weapon limits.
       I think this will also make the number of ships a faction can
       bring to the party, as well as the size and strength of
       alliances, more important within the game too.

       I voted to keep the limits for the sake of reducing lag and
       allowing battles with more participants.
       I also agree with Daristan's not yet available option 3, which
       is to scale weapons with ship size (if Eleon ever go there).
