X-Plane is a comprehensive and powerful flight simulator
available for the personal computer. X-Plane simulates anything
that flies: from single-engine fixed wing props to multi-engine
jets; gliders to dirigibles; helicopters to spacecraft to VTOLs
such as the V-22 Osprey and AV8-B Harrier.
X-Plane has the most realistic flight model available for
personal computers. It comes with subsonic and supersonic flight
dynamics, simulating aircraft from the Bell 206 Jet-Ranger
helicopter and Cessna 172 light plane to the supersonic SR-71
       and Mach-3 XB-70 Valkyrie.
X-Plane comes with 29 aircraft spanning the aviation industry
(and history), and several hundred more are freely downloadable
       from the internet.
X-Plane includes global scenery. You can land at any of
thousands of airports, as well as test your mettle on aircraft
carriers, helipads on building tops, frigates that pitch and
roll in the waves, and oil rigs. Weather is variable from clear
skies and high visibility to thunderstorms with controllable
wind, wind shear, turbulence, and microbursts. Rain, snow and
clouds are available for an instrument flying challenge, and
thermals are available for the gliders! X-Plane can download
real weather data from the internet, allowing you to fly in
       actual current conditions!
X-Plane also has detailed failure-modeling, with 35 systems that
can be failed manually, or randomly when you least expect it!
You can fail instruments, engines, flight controls, and landing
       gear at any moment.
X-Plane includes Plane-Maker which allows you to create your own
airplanes, and World-Maker which lets you create your own
scenery. Also included is Weather Briefer which produces a
weather briefing based on actual weather conditions downloaded
       from the net.
X-Plane is extremely customizable, allowing you to easily create
textures, sounds, and instrument panels for your own airplanes
       that you design.
Wondering what's changed from Version 9 to Version 10? The
       biggest new features are:
a brand new system for auto-generating plausible scenery for
       the entire world,
a new, highly-detailed cloud and weather rendering system,
a flight model with improved accuracy and even greater
       power,
a completely redone ATC and AI Aircraft system, and
the ability to more fully utilize multi-core CPUs for
       enhanced realism.
X-Plane 10 requires, at the minimum,
       a 2 GHz, dual-core CPU,
       2 GB of RAM, and
a DirectX 9-capable video card with 128 MB of on-board,
dedicated video RAM (VRAM). See here for compatibility and
       graphics cards.
80 GB Free Hard Disc Space
However, for the best experience, we recommend the following:
a 3 GHz, multi-core CPU (or, even better, multiple
       processors),
       4 GB of RAM, and
a DirectX 10-capable (DX11 preferred) video card with 1 GB
       of on-board, dedicated VRAM.
80 GB Free Hard Disc Space
Supports Windows XP/Vista/7, MAC & Linux.

       ?
       Приятно
       изкарване
       на
       празниците!

       X-Plane 10 вече има
       64бит
       поддръжка
       и до
       колкото се
       информирам
       от
       коментари
       на
       потребители,
       които са
       изпробвали
       вече 64бит
       ъпдейт...
       всичко на
       макс и
       върви
       супер без
       никакъв
       лаг. Prepar3D
       версия 2
       казват, че
       ще излезе
       тази
       година и
       ще
       поддържа 64bit,
       dx11 и да се
       надяваме
       multicore support и и
       мисля да
       почакам
       малко. На
       мен само
       64бит
       поддръжка
       ми е нужна
       защото
       нито един
       аддон от
       сегашните
       няма да
       работи с dx11.

       - X-Plane

       ORBX CEO
