Scallas take note! Is van camping the best? How about just using
       a tent when parked?
1927 truck, maybe used by a circus performer? found on Facebook.

1920 roadside camping. Maybe there's a book on this?

Here's one that I appraised a couple of years ago. The
workmanship on the "Showman's" body was incredible. The history
on this truck is that it was used by a travelling farm implement
salesman in Pennsylvania in it's day.

Apparently more and more Americans are nomads, living out of
vans, cars, RVs. Most forced into it due to low income. It's a
whole movement, with a movie on it also. See The Guardian

We should visit John Grunder's shop someday. Grunder's "1923
       Ford Model T with a 1925 Zagelmeyer pop-up camper body – quite
likely the only surviving example. Grunder was at Lime Rock Park
on Sunday showing off the camper during the racetrack’s historic
car show, having hauled it because driving it the 23 miles to
Lakeville would have meant departing in the wee hours of the
morning. Spectators at the show marveled at its woody appearance
and features. 'They’re kind of stunned that something was that
good,' said Grunder, who has owned the Model T camper for 59
       years...."
