What you NEED is not a new caliber but a NEW GUN.
Have you looked in to the TC Detention? It's like there
contender only a bolt rifle. You have one gun and many barrels,
From 222 to 375. :o

Hmmm...this is news to me. Sounds like a great setup for
multiple calibers all in one. Thanks for the heads up. I will
check it out.

I would lean to the venerable .243,I have a few of them and very
accurate with light recoil .You can really reach out and touch
them withis cartridge. I would also look at the 6BR for
varminting, and quite a bit more accurate than the .243 when it
come's to stock versus semi custom.

as a varmint hunter i DO NOT like to miss, so i have been
reading and learning what the benchresters do to achieve such
unbelievable accuracy. a lot of what they can do is related to
"how much do you want to spend?" an extremely accurate rifle is
not cheap, but some of their cartridges are very inherently
accurate...22 BR, 6 BR, 22 PPC, 6 PPC , 6 BRX to name a few. my
latest is a 22 BR and it amazes me! i can repeatedly shoot one
hole with 63-65 gr bullets in my 12 twist with my longest ghog
kill at 372 yds and several at 275-300yds. a slow twist 6 BR or
even better a 6 BRX can send a 68+ gr bullet a long way and
still have enough energy to take out most varmints. these
cartridges require a little more time to process but i'm a hands
on type and really like to see the bullet go where i tell it to
go.
