I use a savage-stevens .223
HTML http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e248/jonthepain/yotegun.jpg
my hunting partner puppypopper accurized it for me - glass
bedding, claying, trigger work, paint, etc.
shoots moa
i love it - but other than several 12 gauges, it's my only
varmint gun. so i guess it makes it hard for me to compare it
to other rounds, since i've only shot the other calibers
occasionally.

For the fun of it:
Front gun is my .308 deer gun, middle is my .223 varmint rig,
and back gun is my old 700 VLS in .308, I shoot mostly target
with it but back in the day I used it for longer varmint shots.

You have a great looking lineup of varmint guns. I love my
.17HMR also. I have the 93R17 GLV with accutrigger and bull
barrel. She is a shooter. I will get a pic of her up soon.
Thank you for sharing your arsenal. The targets prove they do
their job.

I'm going with a .223, actually that what my 6br was originally.
I kept all my reloading stuff for the 223, i figured i was going
to end up with another one. :)

Great caliber no doubt. Out to 300 yards it can hang with most
of the varmint calibers. Factory ammo is cheap...rolling your
own even better.
