       Scope doesn't have enough adjustment...

       Hey scope folks.
       I recently bought a new Ruger 10/22 takedown rifle. I have a
Leupold VariX I'd like to put on it, but the bloomin' thing
doesn't have enough latitude in crosshair motion, either up or
       down.
So I'm wondering, what does one do in such a case? Buy shim
material and shim the rings? Or is there some other, better fix.
Right now, the 10/22 has a red dot on it (which I'm no big fan
of), while the Leupold is doing an awesome job on a Marlin 336,
       bolt action .30-30.

Sounds like it may be a problem with the mounts.

       NOPE!
some of the older style Leopold scopes don't have much for
       adjustment.
you have to use shim stalk to move them up or down in a lot of
       new gun and mounts...

+1 on ^^^^ PB. I had an ole bushnell like that. I used
       Electrical tape accordingly.

Use millet windage adjustable rings which I am selling 3 sets of
on accuarate shooter. The other alternative is burris signature
rings with the plastic inserts to adjust for lost windage.
