Hay fields coming down

Its the time of year I wait for, the Farmers are finally
chopping hay fields. My .22-250 is about to get a workout. I
have 6 new fields lined up just waiting for me to make my first
set of the year. I like to wait until the young of the year are
big enough to fend for themselves, kill the female too early and
the young will starve to death. Going to try something new this
year, shooting out of a pop up blind. Bought it last fall for
deer figuring on useing it for chucks as well. This is going to
be fun.

Just broke the ice, number one for the year bit the dust this
afternoon. I'd love to say it was a long shot but in reality it
was about 75 yds. I stepped out on my deck to start the grill
and saw the chuck in my back yard. Got the .22-250 out of the
safe and number one is in the book. I normally shoot 4 or 5 back
there each year, they like to get under one of my out buildings
and I keep them in check.

Don't know what is going on here. Looks like they are
plowing most of the hay fields up. >:( Probably going to plant
corn.
