Today's Set Came Up Empty

Well its perfect weather here in Kentucky currently. Temps in
the mid to lower 50's with a slight East wind at 5 mph. I
decided I had enough time to make one stand this evening. Drove
out to a spot where I have taken some yotes last summer hoping
to get a shot at a critter with my new .223. Anxious to see how
she performs compared to my .22-250. Started out with some
vocals for about 10 mins with no luck. Switched to a jackrabbit
extreme for about 5 mins and still nothing. Ended up just
turning off the noise and just sitting there enjoying the
evening in silence until dark. Coyote or not...I loved every
minute of it this evening.

Any time spent in Gods country is time well spent whether your
making kills or not. Beats the heck out of setting on the couch
watchin the boob tube.

Being out there is medicine for the mind. Everyone needs healing
from time to time.

Nothing like relaxing to the soothing sounds of a dying
jackrabbit!
