       CZ 22 Hornet

Been wanting another Hornet but couldnt make up my mind. Went to
a gun show last weekend and looked at a cz in 17 hornet. Liked
the gun but wanted a 22. I talked to a guy about it and he told
me about a pawn shop in tulsa that stocked them. sure enough,
they had a new one in stock and it came home with me! I have
only shot factory Hornady 35 gr vmax out of it but got half inch
       groups!

Now if I could just find some brass. The hornady brass is very
poor for reloading. flash holes are under sized and way off
center. Case capacity is small compared to winchester by about a
       grain!

Great buy~I had a remmy 799 hornet that was a heck of a gun. I
don't reload though and my round selection was limited to 1 or 2
diff. rounds. I ended up selling it and picked up a 223. Have
fun with it and let us know how your loads work.

Thank you much Bwana J! I looked all over te net but forgot
about Graf. bought a box of 50 win laoded ammo in Tulsa
       yesterday, $47.58! Ouch!
I went to the range yesterday and tried some loads, 40gr
sierra/LiL Gun, 35gr Vmax/Lil Gun and 35gr hornady factory all
shot under a half inch! The winchester shot about an inch and a
Quarter. I sho up al the win soI can reload th brass, need to
get out in the shop and get busy.
I will order some privi when I can figure out what to order with
it. When did Graf start the 40 dollar min order?

You're welcome STeve. Thats the first I heard of the $40 min
order. We finally had some ammo show up in the local stores but
they all have a 2 box limit. Sure will be glad to see things get
back to normal. Thank God for reloaders.....

Steve, if you find yourself in a pinch, Remmy makes a bulk pack
of 40~45gr sp> the run about $34 a box. Gives you some extra
       brass to run anyway.

tried two more loads today, both under 1/2 inch. doesnt seem to
       be very picky.

The three I shot the other day were under 1/2 not 1 inch. I
changed my post. very impressed with this little gun so far!

Finally found some loads it dont like! 30gr berger moly coated
shot at least a 4 inch group! never found te 5th shot on the
paper! Some bulk 48gr lead tipped hollow points shot about 2
inches and 50gr dogtowns shot 1 1/2 inch. Just got some 40 gr
       vmax to try.
Never got around to ordering the Privi brass from Graf, but
stopped in a gun shop abou 30 miles from the house this evening
and they had 2 bags of win brass for 24.95 per hundered! I
bought both! Should last me a while.

Sounds like you're having some fun playing with that burner.
Thats the part I enjoy when trying a new gun. Glad ya found some
new brass, not an easy thing these days.
