       Fishing for Coyotes
By: bmgillum Date: February 8, 2013, 4:05 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Went fishing on the Cumberland River yesterday for brown
trout...bad day...had a few bites but none in the boat...what
was unusual, though, was we saw a coyote swimming across the
river...neither one of us had a gun and felt it would be
unethical to run over it with the boat and drown it so we let it
go...it was undoubtedly the biggest coyote either of us have
       ever seen...
       Cheers/bg

What do you mean ethical? You call them in with a promise of a
free diner or sex them shoot them where they stand and let'm
lay. I'd ran'm down one less.
We use the Mud boat or the jet all the time to hunt them Most
of our Big prairie lake are all Public land around them with NO
access other then boat or on foot. We pull the boat in to a cove
turn on the Fox prow and wait , when they sillowet on the high
bank we pop'm. and drive to the next. You can get 20+ sets in
,that way. We also run the Monument on the Missouri , 149 miles
of wilderness river brakes and call the same way . As long as
you let then get under the high water mark ,it's all fair
game...ALWAY take a gun with you. I have gun racks alone side
the rod holders in our boats.

I think you made a great decision. Just can't figure out why the
       coyote was swimming the river.
