I am excited to shoot a few rounds and see what she has got. I
had forgot how much smaller the .223 case is compared to the
22-250. I will probably stay under 45gr. with her.

Yote, start at a 50 and see how it runs. Should be a dead ringer
out to 300 yrds. Anything beyond that is when the 250 kicks in.
Should be runnning a 1-10 or 12 on the barrel. hopefully a 10 ;D

I wanted to report on my experience with the Rossi .223 so far.
With 53gr. V-max pushed with H4895 she is sub 2" @100yards. With
40gr. Sierra HP's...pushed with H335 she is 1". I am happy with
this so far. I think I can tweak these loads and improve some
but for what I will use her for I am in no hurry. She will be my
brush gun for varmints out to 100 yards....beyond that....it's
the 22-250.

Being able to tweek loads is the main reason I love reloading.
Some rifles like fast loads and some like slower loads and some
like halfast offerings.

I hear ya BJ. I love everything about reloading. It is a very
relaxing time for me. Also very rewarding to see your shot
perform the way you want. I encourage every hunter to do so.
