Yote59 I absolutely love it.. The only con some may say it has
is the fact that it takes batteries, its not rechargeable like
some higher end calls. I've hunted with buddies who own calls
with rechargeable batteries and the batteries have died so I've
had to pull the ol' trusty icotec out. Point being --you can
change batteries in the field, however, you can't plug it into
       an outlet and charge it.
I hear people bash it b/c it's not one the expensive foxpro type
calls, but i've never been about name brands... Some name brands
are popular for a reason, & some are just more expensive. The
foxpros and other high end calls are great, dont get me wrong..
but this thing was $70, it has 12 sounds, and has a great sound
       quality. AND, it works.

I also recently picked up a Buck Gardner rabbit call with the
built in mouse squeaker and it has a great sound to it..

It really depends on the hunt as to what is there but I will
       give a gen list:

Also, keep in mind that I tend to do more long range hunting
that involves a lot of hiking and camping. Hence so much gear.

Pack is a Maxpedition Falcon with a 3L water res.
       - Binoculars
       - Laser range finder
       - Waterproof notebook and pens.
       - Camera in a zip lock bag
       - 60cx GPS + spare batteries
       - Orange flagging tape (I tie it to taken game because
I have been shot at packing out animals)
       - 4 pairs of ‘high risk’ nitrile gloves.
       - License and tags laminated with plastic tie cords.
       - Walkers game ear and a pair of ear plugs.
       - 2 Swiss army knives.
       - My old compass from the mil.
       - Knife sharpener, small carbide type just to touch up
blades as needed on big animals.
       - Work gloves.
       - Flashlight + extra batteries.
       - Headlamp, LED type with extra batteries.
       - Drop point hunting knife
       - Skinning knife
       - Caping knife
       - Bone saw.
       - Small machete or hatchet based on terrain.
       - Snacks, normally energy bars and such
       - 50ft para cord.
       - Handful of paper towels and a couple of cotton rags.
       - Lens cleaning wipes and a couple of restaurant type
       hand wipes.
       - Large zip lock for trash
       - Game bags depending on game animal.
       - Packable rain gear or extra insulation (based on time
       of year).
       - Appropriate calls, both manual and E-callers based on
       game type.
       - Zip lock with small med kit (Benadryl, band aids,
Advil, little packets of Neosporin and anti itch)

Additionally on my person I carry:
       - Sidearm, generally .357mag revolver. Loaded with
hunting ammo. Some times a .44 Mag depending on area.
       - Spare sidearm ammo box w/ 6rds shot shell and 6rds
       hunting ammo.
       - Survival kit in a Nalgene bottle.
       - ID & CCW.
       - Hurricane lighter.
       - 2 way radio depending on hunt, where I am and who I’m
       with.
       - Bunch of stuff I'm forgetting but I cram in my pockets
       out of habit.

In my survival kit I keep the following:
       - Dental floss
       - Magnifying glass
       - Swiss tool
       - Flint/magnesium fire starter
       - Waterproof matches
       - Spare mini compass
       - Emergency foil blanket x2
       - Water purification tablets.
       - 2 field dressings
       - Butterfly bandages
       - Thimble wrapped in fishing line. (sewing machine
       thimble not thumb cover)
       - Film canister packed with cotton, fish hooks and
       needles.
       - Band-Aids and antiseptic cream.
       - Edible plant ID playing cards appropriate to area.
       - Then I pack it all in with as much para cord as will
       fit.

That's great....about time they come out with an alternative to
the FoxPro series. I may snag one of them too.
