Gamo trigger job
By: Bwana J Date: December 23, 2012, 7:58 am
---------------------------------------------------------
I have a Gamo Hornet .177 that had about the worst trigger I've
ever shot. Its a two stage trigger that can be adjusted on the
second stage but the adjustment didn't change anything, lousy
trigger. I ordered a new custom trigger from
www.charliedatuna.com
HTML http://www.charliedatuna.com
for $35.50 and replaced it
yesterday. Man, what a difference. It now breaks as well as any
gun I have. Had to remove the scope to do the job so a trip to
the bench is needed to resight. I think the tree rats are in
trouble now ;D .

Sounds like I need to check and see about getting that trigger
for my Benjamin Discovery. The trigger is not all that bad, but
could be better. Thanks for the info and link..!! I love to
hunt the tree rats with my .177 also....lots of fun.

He doesn't do credit or paypal, I sent him a money order. I had
the trigger in my hands a week later, thats pretty fast. It did
take me a little time to install but I got it done with pleasing
results. The triggers are CNC cut Aluminum and the fit was
perfect.

I checked out his site....great site. It seems he only deals
with Springers though. Don't think he has one for the Disco....

Try doing a search for a custom trigger for your rifle, might
find one that way.

You might be able to get a marauder trigger installed on your
Disco, and to the OP, the GRT trigger is loved by many people

Found this on another forum
Bryan & Associates Discovery trigger kit.
HTML http://www.airgunbna.com/
HTML http://www.airgunbna.com/
It retails for 22.00 plus shipping.
Installation is fairly simple and outlined on their web site.
This upgrade is generally refereed to as a 2 screw trigger. I
rate this trigger upgrade as good in comparison to the factory
trigger but a little mushy in feel for my taste.
Next we have the TKO Discovery trigger.
HTML http://www.tko22.com/
HTML http://www.tko22.com/
This upgraded trigger kits is 14.00 plus
shipping. It is cheaper then the B&A kit due to it retaining the
factory trigger blade. However it is still a much better product
then the factory turns out. This trigger is referred to a 3
screw trigger group. I rate this trigger as very good due to its
more adjustable.
Finally we have the Benjamin Marauder trigger upgrade. This is
when you order the entire Marauder rifle trigger assembly from
Crosman. Its part number is 1763A105 Trigger Assembly ( 54.00 ).
Now installation of this part on a Discovery does require a
little modification but its generally pretty simple. The trigger
assemble itself will bolt directly in place of the factory
piece. However you will need to modify the hammer of gun. Some
people fill in the concave of the hammer with JB Weld and others
use the Crosman Challenger hammer, which is a direct fit. One
other thing you will need is either a Marauder trigger guard or
in some cases folks use the Challenger guard CH2009-031 in its
place.
