Howa

A guy at work wants to be an instant coyote killer. So he set
out and purchased an e- caller, decoy, and rifle. He asked a
few of us our opinions. We all said Savage, Remington or an AR
would get the job done in our favorite calibers. But he is the
kind of guy that has to be different or buy the best. He ended
up getting a Howa .223. I am not familiar with this rifle other
thatn what is in the Predator magazines ads. It is kind of cool
that we all shoot different rifle brands between us. You get to
see and feel the other rifles out there. But, does any one know
if this Howa is a great rifle?

I personally have not shot a Howa. It is a high dollar
gun....but that rarely correlates to higher kills than the
Remington, Savage, Winchester, or other brands. The .223 is a
very economical round to shoot. No need to reload.

I agree 22-250....it is a high quality firearm indeed. But as
you stated...that does not guarantee kills.

The howa's are fine rifles but no more expensive than you
average remmy or savage. The action is strong and well designed.
Their barrels seem to shoot pretty darn good too. They are
definitly an alternative to some of the higher bells and whistle
brands out in the market place.

Howa's are reasonably priced rifles and fairly accurate too.
Considering that Weatherby puts their name on them (Vanguard)
and a MOA guarantee on some of them it's a safe bet it will work
out fine for him.
