       I have never said "I wish I had less magnification" I have a
       4-12 on my 22lr, and a couple of 6.5-20 on my other shooters. I
       rarely go over 12x. I get a lot of mirage over 12x on the bench
       when it is warm out. I use more than 12x with a cold barrel, and
       cooler shooting weather. I have no regrets with the 6.5-20
       scopes I bought
