Will the pile of coins be stacked by type at the beginning of
the match? Furthermore, will they always be stacked in the same
manner?

Also is there a range of values for the total sum? And how many
coins will be provided?

Not stacked but flat and evenly spread out within a 1 foot
diameter circle. There will be enough coins and each randomly
generated sum will be created using 6 coins.

How will the coins be placed? Like quarters on the outside or
can any type of coin be in the circle at any place? How much
space will there be between coins? Are we expected to drive over
the coins to get coins in the center? Also you didn't answer
Eric's question about the range. 6 coins can also mean 6 pennies
because 6 cents is less than a dollar :P

Any combination of 6 coins is valid. You will need to be able to
choose the right coins from the coins within the source circle.
