       Lesson on Feb 17th

       >> The lesson on February 17th will be from an earth-centered
       source. We'll learn about Powamu, a Hopi planting celebration.

       >> We've begun a new children's offering ritual during class in
       the Jefferson Building. (Years ago, they had a “penny pot” to
       contribute to in the Sanctuary.) This will be interesting,
       hearing the uninhibited reactions that our young UU's have to
       giving to our church.

       >> On February 16th, I hope you will join me in volunteering at
       the Brazos Church Pantry. This will be my first time, but I was
       inspired by how much the families from our church valued this
       experience last year. Meet me at 304 W. 26th Street in Bryan a
       few minutes before 10:00 a.m. On the job training is provided
       and well-supervised children of all ages are very welcome. We'll
       be done well before noon.
