       April 28th and upcoming events

       On Saturday, April 27th, we will be cleaning out 2 closets in
       the Jefferson Building as well as organizing a few art supplies
       in the comfort of the air-conditioning. Kids are welcome to play
       while adults work!
       On Sunday, April 28th, Mara Iverson will teach a CRE lesson on
       Beltane. Children will join Rev. Massengale and Emma Stanford
       for the Blessing of the Animals at the end of the service. It
       should be a really fun day for the kids! (Let me know if you
       need information about bringing your pet to church.)
       Nancy Elliot, our visiting art teacher, has committed to three
       dates for this summer: June 23rd, July 14th and August 11th. The
       theme for this summer's art projects is “Interfaith Summer.” Ms.
       Elliot prefers (and our abuse prevention policy requires) that
       she have an adult assistant. If you would like to volunteer,
       please let me know before May 15th. I will provide the names and
       email addresses of Nancy's assistants in next month's newsletter
       so that parents can RSVP for particular dates. I will ask the
       volunteers to remind everyone as the dates approach.
